Smile approach anxiety with Mohr syndrome

    Hi.
approach anxiety is a pretty common thread so I don't expect to get a lot of answers.

Anyway. People have approach anxiety,I get that.
But I'm also stuck with a syndrome called Mohr (you can google it if you don't know that it is)
Basicly I have trouble speaking. It's almost how deaf people talk but not exactly.

So I need some kind of guidance to try to make the best of things.. I don't really wanna explain to girls every time I try to speak to them.

Been avoiding to have to speak for some time now and I'm sick of it.

    So please, help.

    Thanks!
    Nite.

There's nothing to really say. It's an internal issue that you have to work out. Part of the problem stems from you viewing your syndrome in a negative manner. You were born with a syndrome, so what? People are going to ask so you answer it confidently. It's just like having a tattoo. Tons of people are going to ask about it, but you won't mind explaining about it because you perceive it to be something positive. You have to change your perception of you. You have a syndrome, own up to it, get rejected, learn, get rejected some more, learn, get rejected even more, then finally succeed. Nobody said that this was going to be easy, but it's a process you have to go through until you finally realize that you're the gem that you've been searching for all along.

"Let me give you some counsel, bastard. Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you." – Tyrion Lannister

In other words, hang a goddamn lampshade on it. Use a cue card with a brief opener. Tell her she left you speechless. Open your mouth and start a conversation. Anything. But don't limit yourself because of a condition you had no say in.

    Thank's!

It will be hard to change the "setting" in my head about this.. if you know what I'm saying but I'll DO.

Do. Or do not.. There is no try - Yoda.
