Default New co-worker likes me, but could be bad news"

    Hey guys,

So basically 2 weeks ago my boss told me they hired a new marketing assistant and that I would be training her and she would be my partner for the next 3 months.

Anyways since I am in field marketing, it consists of taking long car rides, sometimes even an hour or longer to the events and then once there teaming up just you and her and doing some marketing expos. Since it is just us 2 there together, we chat quite a bit and do some quality personal talk.

So long story short, over the last 2 weeks I have basically spent close to 60 hours nonstop with this girl and it has been a awesome time. We laugh and make jokes, I tease her, she teases me, we listen to music together and make playlists the day before the car rides etc. Basically we have a blast while "working"

Now outside of work, just naturally we have started to text and usually its business related but id say 70% of it is quite flirty/funny texts outside our work description/

Anyways, a few days ago she was telling me about her ex's and etc, and how they have all been douches, abusive and etc and I laughed and told her "its all a numbers game" and that eventually she find the right guy who is sweet and charming and will treat her right. (Not sure if this counts as NLP but I was trying to hint at characteristics I have or hope i have lol)

So our shift day ended that day and I dropped her off around 8 pm, and around 10 pm she texted me, "I found out im working this weekend, are you as well!"

I gave it a solid 40 min and replied "sorry was making dinner but nope!, lucky for me im off"

    She replied "aww"

I replied " It's okay were gonna have a blast together the rest of this week at our events and if you really want we can always go hiking or do something fun that you like"

She replied: "Haha yes good deal!"

I replied "Yepp, the guys you go out with our priceless lol and i think its time u meet a real guy who knows how to treat a lady "

she replied : "Hahaha I'm not confident they exist. But someone once told me its a numbers game (quoting me from what I told her earlier that week)

Anyways it was starting to get late, so I was looking to just end the convo and said " They deff do exist but are verryy rare to find.. ill make u a deal tho. Name a nite your free and ill introduce u to this awesome guy whose really sweet and charming. I think you might just then change your view about guys "

After I sent this I got no response and it was late so I went to bed.

Anyways, the next morning ( had the the day off so didnt see her personally) I expected a reply but still didn't get one, so im like w.e who cares. Then rolls around 9 pm, almost 12 hours later and out of the blue I get a text from her that says

Her "Oops just saw this text now. I passed out last night lol"

I knew this was absolute bs so I just replied "lol"

She didn't reply back to that and I just left it at that. However I do work with her again in 2 days.

Anyways, whats your take on it guys. To me it seems like shes enjoying the attention and flirting and basically is trying to "play me." The main reason being that even 12 hours later she still didnt answer my text about going out one night.

Hence my response short response "lol" as I figure an AFC would have said "oh no its okay, np, how did your day go today or something like that"

My thoughts were that since she acted out of line and that I should not reward her by continuing to give her attention and that the "lol" is a perfect response to her not responding and giving a bs excuse and me basically calling her out on it which will have her thinking most likely a little more about her actions and whose controlling the frame.

You spend all that time with her, there's no need to go for dates over text. Don't text her again, at least about taking her out. Just be assertive when you're with her and take her out after work or something. Careful with displaying to much interest at this point because she's probably just playing a game. Keep her guessing by pushing just a little more than pulling, start to Kino, and initiate a date face to face. Pick the place and time. If she can't make it allow her to reschedule. Personally, I think at least some interest is there, but it's at the make it or break point. She's looking for a reason not to go out with you, so don't go afc mode. Keep it alpha, fun, light, and flirty and you'll be gold.

I do initiate face to face and say things like "hey we should go grab drinks" or etc but she never directly acknowledges it.

But then when I tell her I went out this last weekend with my friends she replies with "Hope you had fun, thanks for the invite!"

Something tells me she just likes the attention and the flirting.

Yeah, sounds like she like's the attention. I would lay low for a little while, and talk to other women. Let her see you talking to other women too if possible. I think the problem now is, she knows you're fully interested, so that may have turned her off a little bit. Start becoming a challenge whenever you interact so she starts to doubt if you're interested or not. Remember, people ALWAYS want what they can't have.

Also, the way you're asking her out is not bad. Since she's just deflecting the question though, I would tell her what the deal is. In stead of saying we should, say we're going to or we're going. "We're going here after work for a little ........." Basically, present her with something she has to answer, and something she has to go out of her way to reject.

Just a head up: this message

"They deff do exist but are verryy rare to find.. ill make u a deal tho. Name a nite your free and ill introduce u to this awesome guy whose really sweet and charming. I think you might just then change your view about guys"

Although not bad on the surface, can hurt you unless the girl is already fully interested in you. Here's why:

-not a main reason, but always use good grammar and punctuation unless expressing emotion
-Displays a lot of interest, and frame's things in sort of a "relationship" context, can turn girls off unless they're really interested
-It's subconsciously sends out that you're seeking her validation, and it also sets things on her terms. That's a nono unless the girl is interested.

I get what you were going for, and I like the idea. It just could have been presented better.

" ill introduce u to this awesome guy " This could have been interpreted by her as you were actually going to hook her up with a friend of yours. She may have been put off because she was setting her sights on you and it looked to her like you were handing her off to another guy. I could be wrong though.
