Re: Is narcissism unattractive?
Narcissism is a strong word. Narcissist people are tend to hurt people (mostly emotionally) around them just for their own personal pleasure or benefit. Aside from being unattractive, this is just flat out wrong.
A PUA does not do this. It might be safe to say PUAs have more ego compared to other people but we project this ego with confidence not arrogance.
These are kinda abstract and thin lines really. Occasionally, I find myself falling into the arrogance zone and start to hurt people around myself for my personal "desires".
As I said, I don't think these attributes are distinct. In fact, they're pretty much related. You can't be confident without being a bit arrogant.
And I don't have concrete solutions for this. To me, it can change day-by-day, depending on my mood, mindset at that time.
What you can possibly do, have a really close and trustworthy friend, preferably who knows you for a long time. He/she can evaluate you better than anyone else and give you insight of who you've become is better or worse. Of course, it's up to you to take his/her or my advice.
Not to discourage this approach or anything but, I asked my "close" friends about my transformation, whether their opinion was I'm getting better or worse. They basically said I'm becoming the sh1ttiest person alive and told me to go back to who I was, immediately. I didn't listen to them because I was happy with the changes in my life. And guess what, I'm more glad with every passing second that I didn't listen to them. And now they got used to the new me and we're better friends than before.
Bottom line, if you're happy and living to the fullest, who gives a sh1t about what other people think?
It's not about who I was or who I'm going to become.
It's about who I am. Do it right here, right now.
