Unhappy How do I keep from getting down?

I've put serious effort in myself. I had a rough upbringing, a lot of heart break, I was homeless, the works.. After coming to terms with my past and present I've gained confidence, started feeling good, being happy in my own skin.. The one thing I notice though is my results still suck. It's been a few months now and I'm beginning to believe what's been in the back of my mind all along, that I'm just hardwired to be a beta loser. I have better results accepting beta status than going with a confident flow.

I just want to know how you guys keep from hating yourself and how to rise above the negativity.. Or just any sort of inspiration to help a brother out.

    Thanks in Advance

Hmm, in my opinion, everyone has a breaking point from being a chump to becoming an alpha. Of course, this doesn't happen in one day.

I always motivate myself in the mornings before I go out and face the world. I stand in front of a mirror, smile at myself and say things like: "You're an awesome motherfarker." Sounds creepy, eh? But it works.

You have to have a motivated social circle. Your friends are very important in this process. I can't stress this enough. You can't possibly have friends that constantly oozing negativity. I have seen many people got devoured by the negativity of their social circle even if they had the potential of being the most positive and motivated person in the entire world. Choose your damn friends wisely, man.

I'd advise you to have a hobby that keeps you going, keeps you motivated. For me, this hobby is sports. 1 hour a day and that hour is only mine. Friends, family, girlfriend and work can wait. Shut that phone off and shut the world out. Concentrate on yourself. Let that inner voice talk. Push yourself. Expand your limits. Ultimately, no one can push you beyond your limits better than yourself because no one knows you better than you. So, do it. Don't be afraid of yourself. Never get satisfied with your capabilities. Never stop exploring yourself. You'll never know what goods are hidden in there.

There was a challenge called "10 day positivity challenge". What you do is, you have to stay completely positive for 10 straight days. If you catch yourself having negative thoughts, you have 2 minutes to change them into something positive or you'll go back to day one. Even if you're on the last day's last hour, if you let that negative thought infect you for more than 2 minutes, you start from the beginning. Honestly, I could only go for 5-6 days, but I can say even 5 days changed me a lot.

Know your strengths and weaknesses. Use your strengths to attack your weaknesses. Don't be lazy. Face one small fear every day and one big fear every week or month. Never stop learning. Learning something new is the sole source of motivation. Because you feel different. You feel something new. Just keep going bro, you know you can do it.
It's not about who I was or who I'm going to become.

It's about who I am. Do it right here, right now.

    Hey Roadwarrior,

Thanks a lot bro for putting yourself out here and telling it like it is. It sounds like you have been through a lot of tough stuff in life and that no one would ever blame you if you didn't become a success.

But don't EVER listen to anyone that ever wants to do that to you, particularly if that is yourself. You need to let your ability to overcome hardships become your fuel for success. You may not be where you want to be yet, but just take a step closer to your goals each day.

People that are comfortably miserable never change and never get what they want. It is only those people that are not satisfied with their current situation and create enough Leverage on themselves to change, that really get somewhere in life.

You have the chance to turn your life into a Hollywood movie. Only you can make that movie come true. Surround yourself with a cast (friends and associates) that sees you as the hero of the movie and want you to make a difference in the world. The world will give you exactly what you think you deserve. Hold yourself to a higher standard in your thoughts and actions and the world will be very good to you.
Hit me up if you're thinking about coming to Vegas. It's the Best City for Game in the World.
