    Unhappy flip phone = DLV?

So, I'm stuck with my crappy, I mean reallllly crappy flip phone. I'm ashamed of it in everyday life but I especially can't even bear to ask a girl's number on it.

I fear this is a huge DLV. Being in a college campus, social proof almost demands a nice smartphone. Your thoughts? I'd love any kind of help or advice.

Is it your job to care what other people think about your phone? Personally I think that you being embarrassed about your phone would be more DLV than the phone itself.

So many things we think of as problems are instantly solved when you just stop caring.

Even better: find a humorous angle to it. "Like my phone, huh? Picked it up at an antique sale - cost me my firstborn, but I think it was worth it..."

Not a DLV at all. I have a flip phone that I've had for 7 years. I don't care. I actually like to tell a story about it if they mention it. When I first got the phone people would give me sh1t because it was "so big". "is that your land line phone" they would say. Now smart phones are huge! Its only a problem if you think it is. When I give them my phone so they can put their number in it some girls don't even know how to use it! This is a great time to tease them! "You are like a 50 year old using a cell phone for the first time" (big smile).

Also it's nice because I tell them I don't like to text much (I really don't). I have Abc...that sh1t takes too much time. I'm going to call you not text you.

What Affliction said, that phone is a pimp bonus and you just don't know how to use it. I successfully sarged a 10 while wearing a red wig, boss up man.

Yes sir, that's how this game is run. If you fear it is then it is. I know we could get into the semantics of it and talk about not caring what other people think of you but the bottom line is a crappy phone is a crappy phone, a crappy car still is a crappy car and it doesn't turn into a rocket ship just cuz you're awesome. I was getting crap just for having a windows smartphone since most everyone goes with a Galaxy or IPhone those are what all the cool kids have. In fact almost every n-close I did this year had an iPhone. The only one that did have a flip phone was my last 40 yr GF and I told her all the hot chicks had iPhones and she was talking about getting an iPhone before I dumped her. But yeah it was unattractive of her having a flip phone kind of turned me off. I would be thinking "flip phone" every time I texted her which was very distracting. You can guess what I did when I got my upgrade. I got a new iPhone 5c but mainly for the PUAkit app and PUA apps that aren't on Android. This is a part of your Outer Game you need to work on getting up to speed along with your wardrobe, movie collection, good car, and all that so when you do meet a girl nothing will be holding you back. Don't let it stop you meeting chicks as Outer Game takes a long time to develop (my outer game project will take the next 7 years) just know where you're going. Getting a better wardrobe, better body, better car, better movie & game collection for my Outer Game project. But yeah my new iPhone 5c? Gives tons of confidence with the new apps and new cool phone! See the difference? Also it gives me more motivation to go out.

^^ Agreed. Material things mean absolutely nothing! Woman don't care about that. They care about how you act.

If you don't mind me asking Kino, how would you describe 'using it'?

    Teasing Approach:

Oh my god, how old is your phone.

"I know it's old but it's the last thing my grandpa gave me before..well you know"

    "OMG, really"

Shake your head, "no, I can't believe you fell for that"

    DHV Approach Loyalty

OMG, how old is your phone.

Everbody always asks me that. But if my phone has worked all this time and never let me down should I replace just because something new and shiny comes along? I bet you have friends like that, every time the smallest thing goes wrong in a relationship, boom on to the next.

    Comedic Approach

OMG, how old is your phone?

What??? I got this phone last month. I went to the mall, bought some fresh air force ones, watched Transformers, and picked up that new Eminem CD? Psshtt, you betta recognize my fresh.

We live in a material world with a bunch of material girls. The real world is all around us it's undeniable. Why not ask the girls why they are so material? Why do so many hot chicks have iphones? Why do all these hot chicks get so concerned with us being buff and hating on me when I was a skinny guy? But now they give me more love because I gained 20 lbs of muscle going to the Gym? Why do these broads get so upset when I wear cross necklaces to a Club? Why did these chicks give me so much heat for having a Windows Smartphone? If you say you don't need to be material then please demonstrate why these chicks are so material when guys are not? I am material because they made me material. In my quest to get chicks I have to get stuff that makes them happy or my Inner Game will suffer the brunt of it thus birthing my quest to improve my Outer Game.
