you're talking about learning about yourself and life like it's the lottery and one day you're just going to win it without buying a ticket because you can't afford a ticket... theres no reason why you can't multitask and learn about yourself while you pursue other changes in your life...
Every moment counts, get out of your head and enjoy it.

Regrets are commonplace for me. Sometimes I think "Man if I just would have approached and closed that hot chick we could be texting all day." But then reality hits and you do get the number it never actually ends up like that.

I think we have unreal expectations for ourselves and "thinking" all these things will go a certain way is wrong. If it doesn't work out great, more time for me to work on myself and save money. Relationships and dating is freaking expensive. It is much easier to be single and hookup than to maintain a GF. The best way to be is present in the moment and not set some unreal expectations for yourself. Just get what you can get and be happy with it. I think when we rush the envelope we end up frustrated. But we also need to learn to seize the moment since many girls tried to hookup with me and I was clueless which caused a lot of regrets for me as well. When we focus more on living in the present by staying congruent and not doing things that go against our gut I think we will turn out alright.

My main regret is getting played and feeling like I was played for a fool. The best way to combat this I believe is to not grow attachment/Oneitis for any particular girl.
When you let go of your feelings you can really then embrace your surroundings
Love is a game that's why I don't worry about it anymore. When you let go of your feelings you find your meaning.

I know what you mean. internalizing inner game concepts changes who you are and it kinda feels like the old you has disappeared. This can be seen as good or bad. I embrace my new behavior.
