Default Gf leaves me because of religion, really?

    Hi,

I was curious to see if there are some people here with experience dating someone with a different faith/religion.

My ex of 3y recently decided it could not work with me because we have different faith and in the long run she wants to have a family with a single faith. Multi-faith has never been a problem to me as I am very open to it and respectful, but even though we had the best moments of our lives together, she decided to do so, from one day to another, after having an awesome night out together as we always do.
She asked to be friends, and I declined, saying Im only interested to be her lover.
She says she loves me like crazy and that she is feeling depressed, but hey she is still going forward with it.

I love this girl and I want her but unsure what to do about it. I guess NC and move on, and if love is true she will come back?

I was wondering if some people had similar situations and how it ended?

    Thanks everyone.

My cousin is Christian and married her husband who is Muslim and now they have a son together. Her husband's family was against the wedding and they only had a small civil wedding. I think it is silly to let religion get in the way of love or relationships, but you can't really force her to do anything, only provide logical and emotional reasons to meet her objections. If she still insists, then move on and feel good that you tried to make it work and don't have any burden on both of your decisions.
