Default Incident with y'all in real life.

I thought I would go straight to the source of my dilemma, and ask an expert.
I attempted studying at my college sometime ago, when I ran into a predicament with a group of boys. I overheard one of them say he should neg a girl if she thought she was hot shit.
I picked my head up, and he was looking right at me. I quickly left the room, because I did not feel like being insulted or witnessing another girl get insulted. WHY???
Why is any of this necessary? I just wanted to ask because this is not the first time I have seen them roaming campus. Some students are just trying to mind their own business, and receive an education. I am not looking for any trouble. Other students are not looking for any trouble. We just want to be left in peace. I live in Los Angeles, and that probably makes things worse. Why can't y'all just stick to clubs and bars? Leave Los Angeles natives alone, and stick too the trendy areas with the rest of the transplants. Please, indulge me if you will with an explanation.

    1. Who cares what others say.
    2. No one can apologize or tell you why some people acted in a way that bothered you.
    3. It should not bother you in the first place, since you "overheard" it.
    4. If they did come to your table there are many ways to dismiss them and go about your business. If I wanted to study and they came to my table and do what you imagined they would've done (whatever that is), I would've just said "Hey guys, some people actually go to college to study, can you please leave us alone/be quiet, etc"

Man really? What are you talking about insulting a woman? A neg is playfully teasing a woman. You can't hit on a woman by insulting her are you mad? Sure, they might have an ulterior implied meaning, but never in a way calculated to hurt feelings. Mostly they are meant to humorously shock a girl. Not hurt her feelings.

Man, to seduce a woman requires inducing positive emotions! A woman has to have one hell of a good time with a man to sleep with him. Where do you ever think we.insult women?

Besides, with hook up culture being what it is, when I go out the women are the ones out playing boys for drinks while actually sleeping with older men like myself or going home to dream about such. So don't worry, ain't none of ya'll getting any anyways.

Sticking to bars and clubs will lead to only one group of people you will see regularly. To stick to that would mean that your life is stuck in a zombified world of loud noise and expensive drinks in the dark. A college setting is a room full of like minded peers. In many instances people find intimacy though such a setting. If people only stuck to one area you'd have others typically unable to part take in such areas. So people look else where in which might peek their interest in which they spend most of their time such as a study hall, library, cafeteria or what ever the situation. The population is only gonna get denser with 7 billion people. You cant fight the inevitable and who are you to tell someone to do something with their time, money and free will? Accept it and move on.
Every moment counts, get out of your head and enjoy it.

There are people everywhere, you can't deny the priceless relationships being created through human interaction.

Why do you deny these people of their freedom and right to be?
Don't like it? Just move on.

Thanks for the practical advice. I'll just wear earphones from now on, and if they refuse to leave me alone, I will call campus P.D. on them.
