So, I have been going to this bar around the corner from my house weekly. Gotten to know and speak to almost all the bartenders. Most recognize me. Anyway, last week I was there on a Thursday night having a quick drink. Was starting up a conversation with a bartender. HB7 or HB8. Just quick meaningless convo. Well, I noticed her singing and nodding her head a bit (Not loudly but to herself). I called her over to me (Bar wasn't packed or too loud so we could hear just fine). I told her I noticed her singing and we started talking about music. I told her I don't like modern music, I prefer 70s and 80s music. She playfully insisted modern day bands were better, so I told her to write down her top 3 fav bands and I would listen to them. She wrote them down (Had never heard of any of them) and she actually wrote down 4 bands and 1 specific song from each one of the bands. I left. Well, earlier today I went in and she noticed me right away. Said "Hey! Whats up! Did you listen to that music I gave you" I told her yeah. Requested a menu and I told her I would tell her about it when she got a free second. (she was waiting on a few other customers). I really did listen to the bands. Omg, they sound HORRIBLE to me. I of course didn't tell her that. I told her "Band #1 was ok, Band #2 I just couldn't get into, but the last two on the list I actually kinda liked. She gave me a little crap about not liking the first two but all in good fun.
Ended up having her come over more often this time and talking. Pulled out a Facebook page to show her. It's a thing called Tipsy Bartender. Asked her if she could make anything on it and she found something. Made it, she tried it, said she wasn't wild about it. She gave me another drink and didn't charge me for that one. Well, ended with me giving her a list of 3 songs I wanted her to listen to. Any idea where I should go after this??????? I can't KEEP doing the music conversation with her haha.
