A couple of months ago I got a new job, my first "real" job in what I studied at university. So I now I take the subway to work and pretty much everywhere else. Since I have started taking the subway I noticed a HB on my travels. Sometimes she was riding on the subway or she was at different stops/stations at all different times of the day. I thought maybe she was a shift worker or someone that get sent to work in many different offices/locations. I made up my mind to approach her but I couldn't pin her down because she never got in my subway car or I would see her on the platform for the other direction or at a station that wasn't my stop when the subway was moving.
Today luck was on my side because when I got off the subway after work at the stop near my place I saw her. The only thing was I had already crossed out of the paid area and didn't have any more tokens and she was still inside the paid fare zone. I tried calling her to get her attention but she didn't hear me over all the noise. So wanting to get the approach overwith so I could stop thinking about it and not get anxious, and also because I didn't want to lose her in the crowd I hopped the turnstile and went up to her. She was so shocked that I did this. I tried to open but she kept cutting me off and asking me if I had just hopped the barrier so I smilied and was cocky and said I did. Again I tried to open but she kept asking me my name and who I was. Because I couldn't get a word in edgewise I decided to be playful and do something that has failed me before so I told her she was under arrest and I took her arm so I could turn her around. Usually girls love this and ask what I am "arresting" them for and it's been a great opener for me.
She FLIPPED. Yanked her arm away and yelled at me to raise my hands. I was confused until I looked down and saw a badge on the belt of her jeans. Fark. She is a tranist cop. She doesn't look like law enforcement, she is short, girly and very pretty. But boy can she yell. Explains why I always see her everywhere on the subway. Except she was never in uniform. I'm such an idiot. I tried to explain but she was having none of it. Some male transit cops in uniform came over and again I tried to explain but they sided with her. I was not taken to jail but was released and given citations for fare evasion and failing to identify self for officer, since her badge was in plain view the whole time and I was just too dumb to see it. The police are also looking into charging me for impersonating an officer because I said I wanted to arrest her. I got told I was lucky they weren't charging me for assault on an officer since I grabbed her arm.
Now my question is this...should I just pay the citations or should I take them to court? If I pay them there is a record that could be used against me if I am convicted of the same offenses again, but other than a fine that would be it. If I fight it in court and I win they are gone but if I lose the fines could go up and I could be banned from the transit system, which I need to get around. If I pay she would know that I did and I feel like that would be beta, and the alpha thing to do would be to fight them in court. Also if I take it to court I would see her there because she would have to testify. I know I was stupid but as screwed up as it sounds I also wonder if I still have a chance with her because she is hot and exactly my type and knowing her job now is a bit of a turn on in a weird way. I am not banned from transit right now. If I see her again should I approach, and if so how?
(I'm not worried about the impersonating an officer thing because that would be a separate matter in a different court and they haven't charged me yet) Thanks fellas! It's a weird situation and I'm still reeling a little from it so I don't really know what a PUA should do in this situation.
