    I don't think there's anything wrong with compliments as long as they're genuine and you don't overdo it. Everybody likes to be complimented. You shouldn't give a girl a compliment with the idea that you'll get something back for it. That's manipulative and unattractive.

    Also, if you think about it, compliments are very small part of your interaction with a girl, at least if you're on a date with her. They're not going to sabotage anything if done correctly. What matters more is the other 99% of your interaction with her. For example, I might say to her at the beginning of the date that she looks amazing, and mean it, and that would be the only compliment I'd give her the whole time probably.

    That's kinda true. You should compliment achievements, not inborn traits. So if she works hard in gym, loosing weight etc. then it's ok if you compliment her appearance. But not "well done". Say "wow". It shouldn't sound like you are praising a child.
    And as said above, you must be genuine. Say it only if you're really admiring, but not to get her on your side.
