Alright so I read here on the forum that it's great to use cliffhangers. Well, I don't think I'm doing it right.
I met this girl on Tinder and she always replies really fast. Sometimes too fast.
Well, today I decided to use some techniques here and here's how my conversation is going. The conversation is in Spanish but I'll translate.
ME: "Today is a day for Mate (tea) :3"
HER: "Hahahahaha yes!"
HER: "It's really cold hahahaha"
ME: "Yes I am excited to get my apartment in *HER TOWN NAME* because it's always warmer there"
* I am looking for an apartment in her town which is an hour away. She took a bit to respond to this but I think what I did wrong here is instead of relating to her, when she said it's cold I (accidentally) went ahead and told her my situation is colder than hers.
HER: "Yeah? Look at you, that's great "
HER: "Either way, it's horrible cold here hahahha"
HER: "As well, I can't imagine what it is there, poor* hahahahaha"
*Poor they say in spanish to be like 'aww poor you', no real translation I can think of in English
ME: "Hahaha right, well there's not much difference but something"
ME: "Something I like to do when it's cold..."
Well, I thought a cliffhanger like that would be good but now I realized it was probably really weird to sent something like that, it's been an hour and no response (she usually texts back really fast).
Any help on this?
