    Default friend zone

ok i've known this girl for like 6 years. Never tried anything on her till lately. she's the one that tell everyone im like her brother. i've never looked at her that way i was just a AFC that didnt know how to get a girl to like me. Lately i've been throwing little jabs at her. She hasnt taken offense to them. For example today i invited her to the gym and she responded "lets do it" i responded back with " hey do you take me for a hoe" and she responded with " yes after what i seen the other day lol"(i was flirting with a bunch of females at a festival we went to). What do you think should i take it further or not try and screw up a friendship?

That depends on if your looking for a relationship or just a lay. I wouldnt go for it unless you want a relationship.

I'd partly disagree, Liekus. It depends on whether he wants the friendship or secretly wants to be with the girl for the rest of his life. Whether he's after a relationship OR a lay, he risks losing the friendship if his efforts fail.

Honestly just looking for a lay. i really dont think we'll lose our frienship. We are really comfortable around each other. A relationship is not an option she friends and coworker with my EX. I really think she wants to secretly F me.

I agree totally with you DiPrince, but he's obviously not concerned about losing his friendship if hes testing the water. Also Inprogresspua I think maybe you are overthinking her intention. To me the the text in your post seems to be just friendly banter. If it was me I would just keep her as a friend 6years is a long time and there are many fish in the sea.

exactly. If you're just looking for a lay, and you're sizing her up, in your mind she is the closest and most likely possible candidate to satisfy that need. Which just means you aren't putting enough effort into finding other options. Taking the easy way out may cost you a friend. And IMO, that's a character issue. [ I'm not attacking, just suggesting you consider your underlying motives for wanting to / not wanting to act on your impulses with this girl ]

We're in this to learn, not to disrespect women. The movies and the clichés are wrong. It's okay for guys and girls to be friends.
