I just had the most confusing breakup ever a week ago. I had been dating an amazing girl for a few months.
I was better looking than her previous boyfriends, was a great kisser, and treated her better than past men. I thought I was doing all the little things right like dropping by her work for a 5 min hello and remembering the names of people and details of things that mattered to her. We had good sex too.
She talked about things she wanted to do for and with me in the future. Then, literally hours after telling me little things about the future and telling me she loved me and such, she flat out broke up with me out of the nowhere.
I've broken up with people and been broken up with before--I know the signs. Not a single one was there.
She said our personalities just didn't click the way she was wanting them to and she had been trying to see if it would pass. This is a girl who would talk to me til the wee hours of the night in person or on the phone and always told me how good of a boyfriend I was.
Then, like a light switch, it was gone.
She said I hadn't done or said anything that day. Just a feeling she had.
So, my question is, first of all--is she done for good and there's no hope at getting her back? My first thought is to leave her alone for a month and give her time to miss all the things she appreciated about me. Then try maybe getting together for a drink to talk.
Next question is, what is going on with a girl like this? Never met one like her. Was completely into me and then--poof. It's like she met a man who treated her better than she had ever been (she had dated a real jerk previously for over a year)and then sabotaged the whole relationship with me suddenly without warning.
