    Default Help with voice

I hope someone has some advice on this.

My problem is that I find it really hard to get my voice level right. Most of the time I go too quiet, and she can't hear me, and this conveys a real wuss vibe, but other times I push it, and come across as shouting, which sounds either annoying, or "trying too hard."

In a club also when talking real loud I find it really strains my voice, and after a few hours I begin to get real croaky.

Any advice, or is it just "practice to calibrate"?

In the book "rules of the game" it has in there a lot of useful information, including voice exercises. One thing it suggests is to record yourself, play it back and critique and try it again. One other thing that counts a lot in the way your voice comes out is posture and breathing through your diaphragm opposed to just your upper chest

Take a couple of singing lessons... it'll do wonders when it comes to controlling your voice tone. I had one of by female friends, who was a choir girl in high school for 4 years, give me singing lessons. It helped a lot.
