I go to a US college and recently started hanging out with a really cute girl who's studying abroad from Australia. We've hung out twice over the past 3 days for about 3 hrs total. Mainly we've had breakfast (no sex was involved the night before) and dinner with her friends. I'm pretty good with people so I think I made a great impression with her friends. The problem is during the dinner, one of her friends openly asked her about another guy. Apparently, this guy lives in Australia and recently asked her out over the internet. Unfortunately, my mind sort of went into system shock from hearing the mention of another guy's name so I could not hear what her response to this "guy" was.
We've set up a time for another "date" and she has been really flirtatious and open (to a certain extent) with me. Nothing physical has happened yet between us (hopefully, it will the next time we go out), but I'm really worried of being sent to the friend zone. She's only here for a semester so it would not be surprising to me if she just wants somebody to know or a FWB. What I'm really wondering is if I should keep trying to have an extended non-platonic relationship with her or "cut my losses" and try for a FWB at the most.
Btw, I'm asian, she's white and a bit taller than me.
Any help would be appreciated.
