Default How do I create good DHV stories?

I was wondering how you make good DHV stories. So like a breakdown of what has to be in it, what to look out for, length and good topics. And examples if possible.

I don't really have great canned ones to add so not the best advice, but I'll give you what I can

Basically they should be interesting and happen to make you look good, without directly telling the girl your merits

Like (related to something she says) "omg I know, the other day I took my little sister out to the park and xxxx" (family values, nurturing)

I wrote one out but never used it, I actually found a number written on a roll of quarters, but I had gotten it like 2 weeks before and I couldn't remember the teller that had given them to me, so I woulda used it as an opinion piece, what would you do? Is it creepy? Etc?
It dhv preselection but its an interesting opinion gambit too

Style has a good excercise for this in "rules of the game", if I recall, think of values or really cool things about yourself you want to portray, and find a way to explain them that sounds good without bragging

I tried one, but could never polish it right
I got a pilots license too for fun (hence red baron), but every time I threw it in it seemed too obvious
I don't tell girls now, I just bring them on a surprise date if I like em after a month and take them up and tour the beach. Gets em every time ;-)

But once I added one when a girl told me she was French, I was like oh my flight instructor speaks French, it's so funny to hear him pick up calls cuz bla bla bla
But I wasn't quite satisfied with that felt too "try hard" so I cut it out completely

    One I came up with.

I just got back from a cruise to the Bahamas with a girl I dated and her family. Went snorkeling in the crystal clear water and there was this barracuda. Was a little nervous, but they do not bite humans. Exciting experience.

I try to add the DHV's beside the main part of the story. Shows I am per-selected and a willingness to show how I felt or emote. I learned not to use this story on every girl. There are some shy conservative types I rather demonstrate other qualities that they value. I think the key is relating your DHV stories to their core values, while as you speak you start to mimic their body language and breathing subconsciously.

Thanks, guys. Your advice and some other stuff I'm reading and watching are making the puzzle pieces fall into place. I am practicing writing DHV stories right now. Though I only managed to incorporate one or two qualities so far. Here's an example:

(when something clumsy happens or we talk about sports): When I had just started road cycling I cycled from X town to X town and at a certain moment I came across a traffic light. So I had to stop, but my feet were attached to my pedals so I had to click them out first. But I didn't manage to do so. I tried again and again, but they still didn't click out. At a certain point I was standing completely still, and I was like uh-oh. And I fell over really slowly. I stood back up and this woman drives past looking very worried and asking me how I was. I nodded my head with a sour face and cycled on.

I hit some spikes (play sports, being active, healthy, in shape, can take a punch) but I feel like I can hit many more. I'll see how I can edit it so I can add more.

Edit: the story comes across with animations of course, I will act out the clicking and falling a little.
