Although I am a 4th year student of Sport and Exercise Science at university. I still find that I am carrying extra weight that I really want to get rid of. I am not fat, I play football regularly. However I think that I drink too much at weekends and eat far to much bread which are likely to be the main attributing factors to this.

However I've decided to cut that out for the most part, although I cannot guarantee that I will be tee total at weekends! However my main point is that with regular exercise and adjusting my weekly nutrition I will naturally lose weight. But I also sold my soul and bought some supplements to help with this, now I know when you lose weight if you don't diet properly you will put all the weight back on but does anyone know much about this supplement. (I've bought it and I am awaiting delivery)

It's a quick fix I know. But I feel a quick fix as part of my long term strategy could be beneficial. What do you guys think?

Here is some useful tips for losing weight..

1. Drink plenty of water. Our body needs a lot of water so give in to water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all.

2. Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. It’s a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.

3. Drink a glass of water before you start the meal. Water naturally needs some space so that you feel fuller without actually having to stuff yourself.

4. Have another glass of water while you are having the meal. 2. stretch throughout the day
4. boost your metabolism by doing 20-30 jumping jacks, 10-20 pushups, or 10-20 body weight squats every 1-2 hours of your day.

I lost close to 40 kg (88 pounds) in just 8 months, and kept the low weight. My secret? No beer, no junk food at all, lots of vegetables for lunch, low carb diet, and lots and lots of exercises (bicycling and running are really good, just watch for your knees if you are really overweight). Now I allow myself some junk food, but Im still at the exercises (mainly, hiking, rock climbing and jiu-jitsu - also good for personal defense and some ego and confidence boost)

Running is the best exercises because it helps you burn the calories,
Walking, Sprinting and adding hills or an incline can burn 180 calories in 30 minutes,
Bicycling and Swimming of 30 minutes can burn 400 to 500 calories.....

I have read some of Mark Sissons book the Primal Blueprint. In this book he explains how hunter/gatherer humans prior to the advent of farming were much healthier than we are now and one of the main reasons for this was because they didn't eat grains.
He writes that grains cause the body to produce insulin and this hampers the body's ability to burn off stored fat for energy.

So last week I decided to cut out bread from my diet. I've already noticed that my sinuses are a lot clearer and I have more energy.
