| Hey everyone. I'm trying to get back into shape but the problem is I'm anemic. Been to the docs and said it was iron deficiency. So I'm on iron treatments but they can take up to 6 months to fully work. How can I stay in decent shape? It's been 7 months since I've been able to do some hardcore training at the gym. When I exert myself (such as weight lifting, intense cardio or even walking up the stairs) I get dizzy and lightheaded due to the low red blood cell count. | Nutrition is critical. I don't know what you can / can not eat due to your medical condition. And, I would consult your doctor before doing anything severe. However, proper nutrition is just as important as exercise if you want to look lean and strong. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
