Default Nutrition and Exercise to Boost Confidence and Up Your Game Potential

Okay guys I just signed up to this forum today, but nutrition and fitness is something I know well and I can help you guys make it simple without having to starve yourself at the gym. A little history on me so You are less likely to think I'm talking out my ass. I Played football for 12 years, baseball for 10, spent a couple years in the Canadian infantry and did some muay thai for a year. Oh and I can't forget rock-climbing. I have been a personal trainer and nutrition specialist for a while now. I've tried supplements and wonder pills galore and last December I found a way of eating and working out that resulted in me being in better shape then when I was in the military. So here it is....
Go get The Paleo Diet by Loren Cordain. This book is based on the a caveman diet. I got on this diet where you can pretty much eat as much as you want (unless your metabolism is insanely slow) and I dropped 5% body fat in one month. For those of you that don't understand what that means, fat is what makes you look round and chubby. You lose the fat and the muscle is exposed making you cut. Anyone here want to be ripped? Thought so!
Now stick to the diet part of the post, if you are one of the unlucky ones who has a slow metabolism then get some coconut oil. Coconut is anti-fungal and also helps reset your metabolism. Either choke down a table spoon straight in the morning or make a smoothie and put it in there. It tastes good, but the texture straight sucks.
If you are the opposite (like me) and can eat all day and never gain any muscle then invest in a good massbuilder protein and have at least one shake a day and add a banana, and some hemp seed or chia, almond butter is good, frozen berries. Basically healthy foods that will add calories. I recommend Ultimate Nutrition IsoMass Extreme Gainer protein. These extra calories will help make sure your workouts aren't wasted and you don't atrophe in the morning (body eating you muscle to fuel itself).
Okay, workout. This is the simplest part but farking hard. Do these workouts with your wing so you can motivate each other. I'm going to give you a website to a community that is for a style of workout that the US military uses now. Look up crossfit (I haven't made enough posts to post a URL lol)crossfit is the website name though. They post a WOD (Workout of the Day) 3 out of 4 days and have free instructional videos. You can do most of these workouts anywhere. Some are only a few minutes long. All the WODs are adaptable to your level. These workouts are based on real movements that we make everyday so they will benefit you greatly.
Eating properly and exercising will make chemical changes in your brain and body. You will feel better and have more energy and look better. Who doesn't want that?

Thanks for that brother. 1 question for you what is the easiest thing i can do/or eat that isn't something to difficult to stay energetic? I used to be able to work 12 hour days without a nap. Now a days I come home from my 8:30-5pm and I need to take a nap! It has kinda ruined my life I have no time to do anything anymore due to wasting 3 hours taking a nap. Even though I sleep 7-8 hrs before work. I know something is definitely wrong.

My best advice would be look at what you are eating. If your job is intense either mentally or physically and you are eating a lot of processed or grain based foods then your body is going to want to sleep so it can use all use the energy it requires to digest what you have been eating.
Fruits, veggies and nuts, meats are what you body can deal with. unsalted nuts (peanuts are not nuts they are legumes) are a good source of good fats. Apples will give you some fruit sugar and give you a boost. Green veggies will give you carbs and vitamins your body needs in one shot. Meat will give you the protein to build muscle and keep the energy fire burning. Every type of food plays a role. When you eat food that is processed and preserved you body needs to work harder and expend more energy to get the nutrients out. Basically, the closer the food is to it's original state the more efficiently your body can use it. That is the indirect answer to your question.
As for super foods. Hemp seed and chia are amazing! They both contain a decent amount of protein and have omega 3 and 6 fatty acids in then in the best possible ratio.
If you consider these factors and think of food as fuel then in a couple of weeks after your body adjust you should notice a big difference in energy levels.
If you make these adjustments and after a few weeks things are still the same then go see a doctor and find out what is going on.

Thanks a bunch! I do regularly hit up this section and i love the ideas/threads. i learned in the game while i was a 6 that game doesnt take you as a 4 to spit these words that somehow redeem your looks. Looks are a very crucial part of pickup, and thats reality.
