| I have that swallowing problem in fron of hot girls. Is it a good idea to eat something (inorder to hide my swallowing) like potato chips or jellybones until I get used to them? | It's funny that you mention the swallowing thing, I knew exactly what you were talking about before I even read this. In all honesty, stay the hell away from eating potato chips, talking to girls with a full mouth is a social no-no. Gum could help, but that could also backfire and lead to more bad habits, ie. playing with the gum, swallowing the gum, etc. If I were you I'd attack the root of your problem, versus simply trying to cover it up with a makeshift solution. It's like putting a band aid on a gash. That might work for a little while, but at the end of the day, unless you stitch the gash, it's not going to heal. The problem you have is that your body is using a defense mechanism through a physical state, being that swallowing thing you were talking about. What you need to do is train yourself to stop doing that. I used to have the same problem, and what I did was always reinforce proper behavior whenever I did that. When approaching hot women, I initially strayed to old habits and would swallow hard when talking to them. To remind myself that I didn't want to continue that habit, I would tap my palm on my thigh two times, almost like I was high fiving my thigh softly. I know, it sounds weird, but here's the reason why I did that. First of, it wasn't obvious at all to the girls that I was doing that, it's not like I hit myself over the top of my head or something. A simple pat on the thigh appears to be natural body language, and gives off a free, almost sort of nonchalant attitude in the conversation, which helps the interaction as well by keeping it comfortable. Additionally, through physically reinforcing the reminder to myself that what I was doing was a bad habit, I got that thought in my mind, and told my body to stop that action, after which my body would respond by taking a second to regain composure, and adjust itself. I know, it's weird at first, but by constantly reinforcing your body that that is a bad habit, you'll always be able to readjust your mind and eventually the bad habit will be replaced by better habits. Try it and let me know how it goes. |

| Try the gum. Sounds like your just nervous. That's will fade with more approachs. Perfect praticeake perfect. So can some materialand just go out and run it. When u get over the nervousness the swallowing thing will work itself out. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| I agree with tcomea2, I think you're just nervous. If that's the case, then you can actually condition yourself to be in situations with hot girls. For example, a well known PUA (Style???) would practice his lines after running up and down stairs... to mimic his accelerated heart rate, and shortness of breath in front of hot women. I think you can do something similar. |
