Day Game problem: Filtering out the underaged

I have a very bad sense of a girl's age from her appearance. Combine this with my attraction for 18-19 year olds and I have a history of running into the deadly situation of hitting on a girl who is underage. This isn't a problem for things like the club-game where you can go to a venue that does the filtering for you, but I enjoy the day-game more and there is no luxury to be had here. My worst story was making good conversation with a Jamba Juice employee, asking for her number to go out downtown with me later, and getting confronted by the manager who informed me she was 16. Ooops. In hindsight I could tell, but in the moment my brain said "young looking college girl".

I am considering how to work an age-barrier into my game. Here are my thoughts thus far. These haven't been Field Tested, just theorycrafted, but they seem good to me. They are mostly negs and built around the theory that young girls (16-20) would value being older. Please give feedback.

"So, did you get your driver's license yet?" - A neg and joke. I am not clueless enough to talk to girls who it would be questionable if they are even 16 yet. Hopefully this will lead to a playful "Haha I'm 18, jerk".

"I'm going to end up in jail if I talk to you, won't I?" A joke (maybe somewhat a neg?). I have no idea if sprinking the overt reference to sex is good or not (perhaps if I deliver it in a humorous enough way after establishing a base level of Comfort?). Some variations on this: "So do the cops hire you as undercover bait?" "*sniff her* Sorry, thought I smelled jail bait"

"When are you planning on entering the alcoholic stage of your life?" Joking, negging on age and perhaps her party tendencies if she looks that way. If she is between 18 and 21 she should be eager to announce how close she is, right? I need a variation on this that doesn't bring up the buzz-kill subject of alcoholism.. Is "When do you get to experience the joy a [dive bar/night club/etc]?" a bit better?

(if she smokes) "I thought you had to be 18 to smoke in Texas. " Age neg. Feels like it has the smoothness of sandpaper though. This needs work, but smoking should be an angle. NOTE tons of underage girls smoke so the activity alone is not enough. This goes ditto for tattoos (at least in Texas you have to be 18 to get a tattoo, but underagers manage to get them somehow).

"Do you have any cute friends I could meet who I could actually take to a bar?" Age neg, maybe teasing and showing disinterest in her? Best case scenario is she responds "Haha, but I am old enough. Why not take me?"



I'm out. Of course I can always just ask directly, but I want to work the multiplier bonus and work an age-gate into some lines which can serve a double purpose. Please post any ideas.

Just ask them. Or ask them some qualifying question like are you starting UT in the fall. You can find out real quick how old they are if you just listen to their answers too.

lol yeah just ask them if they are going to a university and what there major is. usually they will just say they arent that old. boom time to leave the set, unless you just befriend them for there older hot friends. that could always work

University approach is good I like it. Sometimes the correct way is the simple one, right? Too much over thinking on my end
