My first try at a set

Ok, reading through all these threads, I got up the balls to approach this one women at a pizza buffet. It was lunch time, I saw two women were at the buffet and they both placed their food on the same plate. I did not have the balls to say anything to both of them, I am new to this sh1t. Ok so the story goes like this I again go to the buffet and when I come back I see one of the women sitting alone. I said "hey she let you sit alone?" She did not respond, so I stepped closer and said it again... This time she looked at me and nodded her head, but with her mouth wide open and food started to come out... I lost it and started to laugh. But here comes my awkwardness I was so embarrassed for her that I just went back to my seat. Moments later they left the restaurant.

crash and burn: LOL next:Ok, both my brother and my friend believed that I had something with the Leah set. in the weeks beforehand I was building report and she was touching me and paying particular attention to me. last night I got the courage to ask if she was single, before this I tried keno but she was carrying something and I did not feel like it was proper the way she moved away. NOTE: This was wrong on two basis: 1. she was moving and working, 2. I did not build up proper c1 to initiate a talking sequence.)So later, I asked her if she was single she stated she was. to me and my bro, she looked like she was really excited that I had asked her. I went up to her later and then asked for her number, she stated she does not give out her number in the bar. I proded and she said she does not want the drama that comes with it. I continued stating if I met you in the supermarket or if i did not come back to the bar then she should give it to me. She stated we are not talking about this. I left the venue.what i did well was that I saw that this Leah set shown IOI's, I approached her(getting over the aa), built report, and I talked to her. I failed to properly hook her in, flirt more, and keno more, she was kenoing me. need more flirting and more talking before asking for her number. Try next week...

when i first started reactions from girls like that (mouth open full of food noddingetc) would throw me off. I think the thing is, is simply that when you approach someone you dont know it's always awkward at first because most people are so deep in their inner circles these days that when someone they dont know just comes up to talk to them they are kind of thrown off for a bit.

These type of reactions are simply part of the pebble in your shoe theory Mystery talks about. They mean nothing other than you caught someone a bit off guard. They'll be easy to dismiss as you get better. What you can do if that happens again and you feel thrown off is whatever you say next just say it with a smile on your face. I always do that when i feel a target is shying away from me if its the begining of a set and i'm sensing pending 'stand-off-ish ness'.

Just look the target in the eye and smile and say whatever you were going to say next and if you get a smile back (about 65%-85% she will smile back as long as you dont forget to look them in the eye) there's your first ioi PLUS you've just set her at ease. Also dont forget after you've achieved this to establish a position of power and your off and running.
