Asking a girl out

What do you think the best way to ask a girl out is if she is a friend of a friend?

I have her phone number, but we haven't talked much.

Just phone her dude. Give her something interesting to do with you, like skating or whatever. Just be casual about it.

I agree with lamarre. Say flat out "Hey, called you up to ask you out. Give me a time a place if you want to just hang around for a bit"

Adapt that to what you know of her. If you two haven't talked a lot chances are she won't be the one to initiate. So the hand is yours for the moment.

I can't agree with that advice, Phylar. He should give HER a time and place (or place and let her decide the time) because girls want you to be in control. Tell her you'd like her to come along with you rather than asking her out.

Sure he can do that too. I just have had more success getting them to suggest it. Less chance of them backing out.

The more crafty approach is allowing the girl to go ahead and choose a time and place. The more powerful approach is you choosing it. Be careful on how she answers you though, the answer will define a yes or no regardless of how she says it.

In the end trust on what you know about this girl and make your decision based on that.

I totally agree. Even the most liberally minded woman really perfers the man to have a plan. In fact I would go as far as to say everyone perfer that from everyone. if you buddy calls you isnt it better when he says 'hey I am going to X (or I want to go to X) around X time want to come?' instead of 'hey bro whats up, want to hang? where at?'

unless I am already seeing someone I dont chit chat on the phone and I dont ask if they want to hang out. I call and say 'I am going for X on X day want to come' or some variable of that.

not saying chit chat doesnt work because it has for me in the past but the type of woman I am looking for is GO type. So she too would rather be doing something then talking on the phone about 'stuff'

If you have her number, that's half of the battle. Unless the number's Seinfeld's dry cleaners, it seems that she's interested. Have a plan before you call.

if it's a friend of a friend and you can see her anyway, you will increase your chances if you build a little comfort in person, before you call and ask her out. Then before the call, have a plan, as was mentioned earlier. Have 2-3 good ideas for meeting up that she might like. But, have also a goal for your call. Being fun, but casual on the call is key!

My method for asking girls out (to do something with me), is talk to them (facebook, text, phone, in person), and after theyve been laughing or enjoying ourself together for a little bit, after shes done laughing or giggling, whatever, ask to go out on a high note so shes more inclined too.
