Use your body, not your mouth! (Newb mission included)

Oh man guys, i cannot stress how much more important body language is for you over a catchy opener, magic trick, and so on.

I was in your shoes a while ago, tryin to read up on every opener possible, and ya, they opened, but that was about it.

Over these last couple weeks, i have been working on my inner game and my performance has shot through the roof. I can open anyone (directly) with out aa or getting that awkward feeling from them (i have even gotten some job offerings from some guys, pretty sick considering the job market out here in Cali).

So my advice to those out there struggling and wondering if this game even works try a differant approach because this game is all about confidence. All those openers, routines and so on that the guru's have posted for newbs is to get the ball rolling for you. A chance for you to gain some confidense when you are completely lost. You have to be willing to go the extra step.

Newbie Mission:
1)Pick one thing that you have trouble with:
Eye-contact
Posture
Voice
Smiling
Hygene
*Basically, anything about your body, personality, or mentality that you can work on to better youself
2) Make that your focus for that week.
Instead of worrying about everylittle one of those details which will become overwhelming for a newb, just focuse on bettering yourself on one at a time. After a while it will all become apart of you.

I just started focusing on eye contact last week. I, for the life of me, could not keep eye contact with anyone. I can honestly say i have no fear of it anymore, whats more, not that i keep eye contact, i can read a persons feelings during an interaction so much better.
Once you develope a skill, results will start to gather a snowball effect around you.

3) Once you develope one thing, go onto the next.
Sometimes it doesn't take a week, just perfect one aspect of your innergame until you do it with out thinking about it anymore.

That is actually sage advice. Pick up is an art, and just like any art, it requires skills, and just like any other skill, they have to be learned in a natural progression. You have to master every basic requirement before everything falls into place...

I guess that is a downside for others because it makes them forget what they're good at, and gets them all worked up on trying to be something they're not. Not talking about AFCs and PUAs, but more like... some chump gets watching a video and they think they have to be exactly that guy. They forget that they should focus on becoming confident of what they can offer, tapping the resources available to them, etc.

Even I will admit I get intimidated and confused sometimes, but I als think that's part of the journey of getting my own identity as a PUA. Soon... someday... whenever, haha.

thankyou, this is most helpful. I was ranting in another thread earlier about what Mystery wannabe calls baby steps or basics. Yeah I agree and you have given a simple game plan or coaching tips that i can use.

someone said Pick Up is an art and we have to keep our tools and preparation in order. I am working on eye contact for this week I have decided as I am aware it is a weak point with me...

Ive been almost absent from the forum for a week now due to beeing out every day, but I can definatively say that if you can master eye-contact alone thats a HEAP of help.
Friday I went to a club I usually never go to, but some of my friends were there and they had been texting for hours for me to come so I took the trip.

Once inside I started walking to the part of the club my friends were at, had to cross the dancefloor doing so and there was this hot brunette dancing with her friends. I caught her glancing at me so I locked eyecontact and gave her a smile on the way past just letting her know I had seen her.
The most amazing thing happened afterwards, I was sitting with my friends having fun and she comes over saying "Werent you gonna come talk to me?" (Translated roughly from my own language)

A confident smile and some eyecontact landed me a great conversation and a phone number, I doubt ill move it into anything else than friendship but it was an EYE-opener for me (Oh the horror of puns..)

Lolz Dandy. I still very well remember when I was still less of a chump. I always looked behind me or beside me, unsure I was the one who caught the girl's eye. Now I know better and act surer, and I do get more girls.

Like Gryf the chcik I have been visiting lately we had a good opportunity to talk today and i could see that she has had something else on her mind and on a few occasions i made strong eye contact and she needs to talk to someone as something is on her mind. she made clear to me that her ex is her ex no matter what he wishes, and i look into her crown almond like eyes and she needs me...

i just dont do it from the start and we arent hold eyes for extended time. maybe she wants to tell me something but is trying to evade it. she wants to get away from her friends and the night life yet she isn't in to finishing uni... maybe she wants to run away with me. she aint seeing anyone else as far as i know. we related on a few things today and she was glad to have me for longer than usual and she refers to the world out there as bleak and depressing. i seem to light something up for her but she seems to be withdrawing from that world and her communications have been limited... no facebook, mobile broken. she was responsive when i said i have a contact at the mobile company she is contracted to but i didnt chase that one on purpose.... i want a few things being left hanging with G

all this i can tell from her eyes or when i remember eye contact and alot of details come back to me. i gotta use the power of locking eyes more in my encounters and use that drawing power
