New guy with a question about IOI's

I've been approached a few times before but I've never really tried to approach. I'm new to all this "game" stuff so I have a few questions. What would be an ioi you to warrant an approach? Would an example of this be if somebody smiles at you first?

Also, I did attempt an approach before but I didn't really know what I was doing. The girl looked over at me, I did something goofy and she laughed. I kind of used that as a cue to come over. I talked to her for a moment and she said she was working on a paper so I was going to leave. She then made an excuse as if it wasn't important. Was that an IOI for me to stay?

I appreciate any feedback I can get from this thread and I look forward to posting a lot more on the forums.

Hey MrPieMan, welcome aboard. I'm new to these forums as well but not to the game. Well done for pointing out a couple of ioi's. She obviously wanted you to stay around and get to know you a little better if she made an excuse to avoid working and talk to you. She wanted you around!

If you want to learn more about what you should be doing then read as much material and articles as possible. The game is an ever evolving series of levels that you need to complete. You've passed stage one, if you need any advice let me know.

first off all welcome, waiting for ioi's before the approach will make u feel more confident about it but what if it doesn't come?. Go for it don't worry the biggest failure u will encounter is not getting a number nothing worse will happen. it seems to me u have natural swag wich is very good but those were ioi's and u missed them! what do u want her to do? get naked in public?! read more!

Sound advice here dude!! waiting for the ioi can sometimes also give you that time to talk yourself out of it!! But if you go by Style's 3 second rule...then you'll find your natural game will come out, rather than any pre-planned technique!!!girls can sense when guys aren't being real and are spitting game they spat last night in a different bar!! by doing this, you'll also be on your toes, so if she throws out something like "i got a paper to finish....but its not important" you could hit wit negs like "i love a quitter "
