I've read a lot of the threads here on best practices for reconnecting after "no contact." I know that you're supposed to connect when you're doing great—to send that "alpha male," fun, charismatic image of attraction.
However, for the last couple of weeks I've been in the hospital … ER, intensive care, operating room. I had a lot of blood loss from internal bleeding, and they weren't sure if I was going to make it on the first day. After days of blood transfusions, IV, antibiotics, a minor emergency surgery, I just got out of the hospital.
My ex-girlfriend doesn't know about any of it. I've done strict "no contact" for about a month. I just got my phone back, and didn't have it the whole time I was in the hospital.
She messaged me today to see how I'm doing. I'm planning to reply, then give her a call over the weekend.
What's the best advice for reconnecting under these circumstances?
