Added a friend of a friend on FACEBOOK. How should I open?

Hi everyone, I hope you can help me with this one,

I was out with a friend of mine one night and I asked her about a friend of hers I had seen at a party once (she knew some of the people I was with) but never talked to her. I knew she was a friend of my friend because I later saw a picture of them together on fb. Anyway, she said she was talking to her on blackberry messenger at the moment so I asked her to let me borrow her bb and talk to her. So I stared talking to her (but didn't tell her it was another person) and the conv went something like this:

ME(remember she thought it was her friend talking): Hey you should've come, there's someone here who'd like to meet you.
GIRL: LOL! who's the lucky one?
ME: just a friend of mine who saw you at some party and he knows we're friends.
... she asked what party, i told her etc...
after a while she changed the subject and suspected it was another person talking so i told her it was me talking...
GIRL(knowing it was me, not her friend): I don' remember you, who were you with that night?
... I told her, etc, and then my friend had to go...
ME: Hey blank has to go now, i don't have a bb so I'll add to Facebook so we can talk, or maybe go out with blank someday...
GIRL: OK! bye

That was on a Saturday night, sunday night i added her and monday night she accepted me, a week has passed since then, now the good question, WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?????
She doesn't get on the fb chat, i know because she updates and i know she's online but not on the chat. So i guess i only have the private message to contact her, WHAT SHOULD I WRITE TO HER????? Please help, i think i have a chance here!!!

How about something like this:

You: Hi, were you the one whom I met at ...?

Her: Yeap/Nope (doesn't matter)

You: Oh, really? I think we've talked on fb/bb before

Her: Oh yeah, I remember you!

You: Well, it's nice to meet you.

Hey, there's an event ... Would you like to come along? (Invite her to an event or party or just bring her out)


Something along those lines.

You don't need to make it spotless and you do not need to make a perfect first impression.

But you do need to make a confident approach.
What I mean by confident is to be sure of yourself. Don't take back anything you've said to her and if you've made a typo, you don't need to correct it.

(Unless you wrote something like "I would like to get inside you" if instead you meant to write "I would like to get to know you", then change that within a minute or she'll think you're a creep)

If you want to be able to get a girl, you must be willing to lose her. Meaning, don't act as if it's a big deal and don't be too into it or you'll appear desperate.

ive never talked to anyone else on someone elses cell and im not saying its bad you did or anything but i think its a little weird. anyways, what i would open with is something like "hey! remember that creepy dude that was texting you off of "your friends name"'s phone!? not saying i think its that creepy or anything, im just saying it would probably make her laugh and she would obviously say yes. I would then take it from there, good luck dude!

Lol sorry killian i love your advice, but I'm going to second Petro's Opener on this, keeps it funny.

Tease her a bit, stay alpha, and follow Killian's advice in general.

And go for the number after a few minuts of banter
"Hey i gotta go meet my friends, but I'd like to text you somehow without stealing (so and so's) phone" (let her suggest she give you her number next)
