Default Best way to start and end the conversation

I need help on figuring out great ways on starting the conversation with a girl on facebook. So I can keep the conversation interesting and fun. I also need to find out how to end the conversation with a guaranteed phone number.

Dude you are kidding yourself if you think there is a magic way to end a random conversation with a girl on facebook that will guarantee to get a phone number...

You're right, I'll probably just experiment with openers and number closers and see which one has the best success rate.

okay i already posted this but oh well, gonna copy paste the ending to get her phone number.. remember FB chat needs to be only 5-10mins .. much more long and it gets 1 BORING, 2 FRIENDSHIPPED 3 HARDER to get NUMBER..
so here it goes: "hey gotta go, but nice talkin to ya.. wanna meet up some time?" or "hey really gotta run but if you want u can gimme ur num and continue this convo through texts" that way you got her num and let the text game begin!

as an Opener it depends, you can use the ADD/POKE/PULL (already posted this someone else) or you can sometimes make it look like a mistake.. or just a simple "Hey there" doesnt need to be very elaborated.. a simple joke opener is also good ..

I would stay away from Facebook chat. Unlike texting, where you're allowed to take your time and respond...Chat plays out in real-time and you're expected to think a lot quicker on your feet. If you're not comfortable doing that, using Facebook chat is only going to hurt you not help you. Use messages, wall posts, the "like" button, whatever...but stay away from chat.
