Experimenting with openers (online)

I've been trying to hone my game online lately, hoping that will in turn get me outside more and then work on that. I picked up a book on body language as well. I've been trying to keep my openers kind of playful short, and volunteering a little information about myself. So far this one worked in getting a response. Which surprised me:

Anyway...I wanted to use this thread for posting openers that get a response, maybe I can learn something from it.

Thanks Bill. Gee, I'd love to find a mentor. Part of my problem is just not getting out enough. My friends don't go out all that much cause none of them are single and so...I don't really have people to hang with.

Just being in public with friends regularly is a MAJOR boost to my confidence. So I'm hoping that I can find people to hang with by meeting online. But I'm nervous about approaching dudes.

Well there are many ways to meet cool guys to hang with.

1. Check craigslist for men's dating groups or pick up or whatever.
2. When out, be friendly to dudes all the time - not only is it a good skill to have in life, it will help you meet some cool guys who are single and looking to improve themselves.
3. Play sports / go to the gym, you should be doing this anyways - but it is a great way to meet men and women. Both men and women know other women who may be the perfect gal for you.
4. Just get out. Have of success is just walking on the field.
5. Go to a bootcamp in your area, many guys who go to these are at similar levels and they are also looking for wings.

What's a bootcamp? ( I assume we're not talking about the Marines here).

A bootcamp is a lesson from professional pick up artists for aspiring pick up artists. The Pick Up Artist officially talks with each student, works on sticking points, goes in the field and demonstrates and then has the student do live pick up in the field. This follows with debriefing and more lessons. Bootcamps usually last 3-7 days.
