Follow-up phone call and conversation

I need a little coaching and am somewhat new to PUA.

I am 54 and divorced for a short while. At the bar last Friday, I briefly talked to a woman, who I have barely known for several years. She knows my wife as an aquantance and thinks very highly of her. She gave me her number/business card so that I can call her up if she wants to go fishing. I am not that much into fishing, but certainly want to get to know her much better.

We are playing phone tag, I called and left a message and she did the same. She said she is out of town for the week. She is a good looking lady who I would like to spend some more time.

Please give me some pua suggestions on my phone message and our next conversation. I know I can pull this off, but need some direction.

I would keep the conversation short, and instead of going fishing which you don't enjoy ask her to join you at an event (not a date, not dinner, not something intimate but something fun). Maybe a ball game, or if there is a new event at a local museum, or a wine tasting or some sort of out dour food/wine festival. Tell her you are going, and it would be fun if she came along.

Keep the phone conversations somewhat relaxed and treat her like a friend that you are interested in getting to know better. Normally I would be more aggressive but in this case she is friends with your wife so her guard will be up extra high. Don't act like her friend though because ultimately that is not what you (or she) wants. Only be her friend on the phone prior to the 'event'.
