okay so I tried this on the weekend, and all I can say is fark! either I didn't use 100% cotton or that guy has bloody tough hands. Didn't matter what size the ball was, it still burnt my hand in less than a few seconds. But let me know how you guys go.

Make sure it is one hundred percent cotton including the thread, and also use proper lighter fluid. I used to, and still do, some magic with fire and, though I haven't done this particular thing yet, the principles are similar to some other tricks I have done. Also make sure that you keep the balls moving fairly often, and always keep the bulk of the flame above your hand.

Come on, this really works??? I can get the half of the girls in a club looking at me at the same time...

I tried it this last weekend. It does work.

A couple other things to be careful of, that I didn't mention before:
Make sure you don't have too much lighter fluid on the cotton. You want it well saturated, but not dripping.

You need to practice so that you can make it look natural when you roll the ball around. You have to keep it moving fairly fast so that you don't get burned.

BE CAREFUL, it is really easy to drop the ball you are rolling it around in your hand. You don't want to be "that guy" the burned a hole in the club's carpet.
