Need some advice, cute girl!

So, I went to this restaurant after a high-class job interview with my friend and the waitress was very cute, but not pretentious about it. We chatted a bit when she came by, IOIs and the like, and I decided I'd ask her out. I pussed out and didn't ask her directly but instead wrote on the bill my number, email and invited her to a concert. I didn't expect to hear back. Five days later she emails me this "Hey it's Lucie from the Highrise grill. I like your bold move but unfortunately I'm going to deadmau5 Oct. 1st. You should come back sometime though and mayyybe we could have a drink after work..."

I feel like she'd be in control if I emailed her back saying "sure, I'd like that" or something like that. Should I just show up a couple of times close to closing with a few friends and hope to go from there? Try to set up something else by saying "I have a better idea, let's .....(adventure date)." So, advice?

I say go in one time about an hour before they close and ask the hostess if she's working. If she is, ask to be seated in her area and don't leave without her number. If she isn't, leave her a note saying something like "You weren't here. Give me a call. I want to ask you something." and sign it your name. Don't put anything else aside from your name. When she calls, get a conversation going. If/when she asks what you wanted to ask her, neg her about it once or twice, and then say "I wanted to see if you'll meet me for a drink right now." Have a bar or restaurant ready to go and just go meet her immediately.

Great advice.. another tactic would be to reply to her Email that you will be there around closing time on (date that she works) and you and her can go grab a drink at (local dive bar).

She is obviously interested and expecting you to make a move.

Only thing I would add to the above, is that you need to carefully neg her, or manage to dhv pretty quickly after you get something set up with her. She is obviously very interested in you, but women fundamentally think in terms of disqualification. She will be looking for you to show some sign of neediness or weakness because you made a somewhat "weak" play for her. That means that the first 5-10 minutes of you interaction are going to be very crucial, or you'll become a friend.

I agree with the above. You need to reply to her email and meet up but the email reply needs to be playful, upbeat and maybe even try and take control. Something where it shows you got the balls to take control. Cause to be obvious she might say it was bold, but really it was weak. What you need to do is just reply and then dont show up too early. Show up like 10-15 minutes before closing and then have a bar thats nearby to go to. When its nearby it makes her more comfortable and you will get less resistance and then when you go and talk, like they said, the first half hour or so is crucial. You have to seperate yourself from the AFC's and maybe even say something to make it seem like you knew what you were doing. "Hey i know it wasnt to bold, but most guys would ask you out right there. i thought i would try and be different. Ok heres the plan, ill show up but we have to do..." by leaving the end blank it will make her curious and want to reply and then tell her she will find out when you show up. so then she will be looking forward to it and you will get hardly any resistance if any to go grab some drinks.
