So what do we think? I'm experimenting with a few things right now, from planning events on Facebook and inviting them, to commenting on photos, to just tagging them in photos from the night we met. I managed to pull off a pretty successful few flirts through commenting on status updates too.
My big problem, though, is figuring out how to initiate a conversation. There's three ways to do it on Facebook.
1) Sending a message (the email kind). To me, this just feels weird. Whenever people send me these things, I personally always feel like they had something to say, but didn't want everyone seeing it on my wall. That makes me feel weird, and I'd assume an HB would feel the same way.
2) Posting something on their wall. This makes more sense than the previous one, except it's completely public, so you're opening yourself up to other people reading it, commenting on it and potentially amoging you.
3) Chat. This just takes way too much time and feels like stalking if you're waiting for someone to come online.
So how do we turn Facebook into something that we can all use? And what should we have on our profiles/pictures? Pics of you with more girls, no girls, out having fun, out working ( dhv), or what?
And if Facebook is a poor decision, what is the best way to transition into a phone number from someone you met in person and only have their Facebook info? (and no, using the phone number on their profile is definitely not acceptable). |
I use face book heavily, I farking love this thing. I personally make them seek me out, I say "Find me on face book, I might even add you" and that's it. I have a picture of myself right now with another woman's legs wrapped around my neck, shes taking the photo, I even tagged her legs.
I never chase them, me and my bros have a code, when someone askes an open ended question, we spot each other. We get them talking in the comment thing, and if I decide to, and I sometimes do, not always, I even respond to their comments. I get them to message me. And it works.
I bet some guys have some other good advices as well.
If you say, "I am the man!" and no one says anything, you aren't, if 50 guys say "Yea dude, that rocked last night!" you really are the man. She wants the man, not the boy, not the girl.
