I stumbled on this by accident. I was in a restaurant and the waitress, HB8, came and did the usual routine of asking what we needed to drink. I looked at her name tag and said something like Jess, short for Jessica. I told her she didn't look like a Jessica, but an Amber. She acted amazed by this, but 'accepted' the new name without much ado. She really became playful fairly quick. It was almost as if the name change, became a costume or mask where it freed her to behave without social constrictions that she normally carry as herself.
I tried this technique a few times with good results. The usual responses are:
--oh really...where I explain, haven't seen someone who matches their name or doesn't...from there it natually proceeds
--they try to give me a name...which means game is on and the conversation becomes real playful and sexual
--surprised...because they know a friend or girl with that name and assume those characteristics
I think this is great Opener for hot women or women that are busy working such as a waitress, cashier, etc... The act of renaming them might subtly say to them that they are ordinary, negging them subtly. It may also serve to disconnect herself from all the social mores she has, since she know has an alias.
I posted this to get your opinions and to refine it. Also to see how well it works, I don't have a problem carrying a conversation, so I wonder is my communication skills that make work or is a solid technique to use.
