The Phone Game

After the success of getting a chic's phone number. The next thing to do is play the phone game. I'm not really well versed on this area and I want some tips on how to be successful on this. Any suggestions guys?

i usually text them. it's easier to control the image you convey with texts.

I don't mind a guy calling but if he calls at a bad time and wasn't receptive enough to cut the convo short, my bad feelings are likely to rub off on him. And first calls always have to be short.

I also like text because it allows me to check my messages at my leisure and gives me time to think of a response. But then again, am a girl and if you're gaming me, I doubt you want to give me that much control either.

I generally call or text around lunch time, so they're less likely to be preoccupied with work or school and are also more likely to be awake already. If I am not asking them out somewhere definitive yet, I just text, introduce myself, and ask them for an opinion over something.

I also love texting because as what Pinai said, you get to have the time to think first before you send out your response... It's also a good avenue for a game- the text game...

I agree, stick with texting as much as possible. I find the phone completely awkward and there's a good chance you'll catch her in the middle of something. I often don't answer the phone even when my best friends call as it's rarely convenient for me to hold the stupid phone up to my ear for any length of time.

Contrary to what most of you suggest, I think that text game should be avoided if possible and is only kept short and brief to setup dates. The reason is because in text, you're reading most of the time. There is no tone, no facial expressions. The conversation can die pretty quick. Nothing beats real life.

I'd say keep both phone and text convos short and use them as resources to set yourself up for a date.

While I agree that texting and online flirting should not make a chump lose sight of the goal (day two, at least), I like how it allows me to flirt and establish rapport, something I can refer to when I do finally meet the girl again. With the right imagination, even corny jokes can help push the girl your way...

can i be straight forward with a girl i know but i havent had a date with? kinda like " WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TODAY? ......wait thats asking her dor permision, well something like Lets do something tonight, or im free tonight do you want to do something? fark im in wussy mode right now. "im free tonight, lets do something" or should i be more indirect and do that midway thru the convo?

"im free tonight, lets do something" sounds confident and casual enough but if the girl already has plans, then what will you do?
