At a party, sets go cold quick. why??

So i have experienced it lots of times already and tried changing my approach but still no help.
If there is a set of 2-3 girls just standing in the middle of the dance floor i would go in and say:
"hey girls, what you aren't good dancers that you stand here like this?"
they usually say: "we are tired"
me: "already, was it like one hour dance lol"
them: "we are really hot in here and we just need to cool down a bit"
me: "okay that cool, is she always that crazy like that?" (point on target)
they give each other a look like wtf and say "yeah i guess.. she is really fun"
me: "well the reason im asking is because she always answers my questions first and she is really sweaty which means she has been dancing like crazy"
them: "hmm.. hmm.. ok" (they turn around look at each other and i feel like boom done.)

sometimes i get something but 7/10 times i dont.
i use opinion Opener sometime and they just give a quick opinion and thats it..
how to i keep them interested in what i have to say? like what should i talk about after the opinion and a bit of teasing?

Stop trying too hard dude, based on your story, it didn't sound too natural. Have you tried the hiroshima Opener? It's a kickass group opener that I learned. Just search on it on google. It will teach you the do's and don'ts as well. Keep it cool and act naturally next time.

Classic beginner mistake, staying in the open phase way to long, it is going to feel awkward but you have to push it into attraction, try this:

"hey girls, what you aren't good dancers that you stand here like this?" (hate section of tease)
they usually say: "we are tired" (response)
me: "lets get this party started! you guys look fun!" (love section of tease)
"Anyway I gotta go in just a second, check this out " (false time constraint and transition)

Now you run attraction material, like

Pua "you are the cuttest little munchkin now arent you? (tease)
hb: (quick banter)
pua "Have you girls ever heard of esp?"
hb: (quick banter,)
pua: "my ex gf totally beleived in psychics and energy and all of that stuff, she was so much fun!" (pre selection dhv)
hb: (quick banter)
pua: "Well heres the thing, one day, me and my friends where hanging out after playing football or baseball, or something, i forget, but we were looking for something to do, and I said screw it guys, lets go see this psychic" ( dhv, leader of men, athletic)
hb: (quick banter)
PUA: anyway, she had us do this

now you run mysterys esp number routine.

End with, "ok now I am interested, whats your names?" let it sit a beat, and then check your phone and ignore them for a second (intermittent ioi, intermittent iod)

now that is nearly 90% true for me, the above story, dont steal it, write your own.

so we are going to open (opener, tease whoever is the loudest, do a false time constraint), then run the above material (your own, real life version), once you can hit that 90% of the time, you can do a good BHRR qualify cycle.

Pua: I am not sure if we could get along, I really love rock music (release, bait)
hb: I love rock! (hook)
Pua: Ok then, here is the test rocker girl, your top 3 rock bands (bait)
HB: Metallica, korn and 3 doors down (or whatever) (hook)
PUA: Oh my god! Come here and hug me! (reel)
PUA: 2 of those bands are awsome, but I dont know about the one (release)
HB: Which one!
PUA: Ill tell ya in a second, let go get a drink (bait, isolation is the bait)
Pua: (to her friends) Me and her are about to have a big knock down music debate, do you mind if steal her for just a second? (dealing with the obstacle)

That is a screener that will push you into c1, once you can get that 90% of the time, work on getting an instant date.

Hey sleek im only new to this but one thing i found is essential in opening any set is a false time constraint. Unless you issue one you come off as "pick upy" or that you are needy and going to hang out of these girls all night.

why not try opening the set as u walk by and lean back over your shoulder.
Say something like

"Quick question before i get back to my friends but why are u 3 not dancing is it girl talk?

before they answer you say "It has to be you all have such serious looks on your faces so whats bothering you guys?"

Wait for there response then move to a new routine, Get there names and how they know each other while using another FTC.

E.G "Hey look i need to get back to my friends but before i go whats your names?

Now dhv, start multi threading and neg the target or use IOD's while keeping the other two entertained perhaps take the two obstacles for a spin in your hands with a simple compliance test.

This way you are working the jealousy side of the target as well. You should be able to kiss close from there with a bit more attraction building.

*NB* Try to isolate the target to get a kiss close.
