So Close

Alright been talking, texting this girl for awhile. She works with me and I've really been trying to keep it AMOG around her and it's starting to work. I haven't really acted like I have much interest in her, but we talk and I make her laugh and just as soon as it seems she is really getting into me, I pretend like I've lost interest in her and find something else to do. So most of my friends are out of town and I told her it was her job to entertain me this week. She laughed and said that we should hang out.

Finally she texted me and wanted to hang out, but she said she was looking rough because she was driving back from some place and didn't have time to get ready, so she didn't want to go out somewhere. I told her that no one was really doing anything on a Wednesday night, so if I didn't find anything, the movies were the backup plan. She responded that she didn't want to go to the movies because she didn't have time to get ready.

So I called up some friends of mine who were just chillin round their pool and drinking and they said that we could come hang out. (There were going to be girls there, not just all guys) I texted her, told her what we were doing, and she started to ask a lot of questions. Where does he live?, Who all was there? that sort of thing. Then she says it was going to be weird for her because she doesn't really know these people (Even though she went to school with them). After that another text saying she was going to feel weird around them and now she was just thinking about staying at home. I made up some crap that they were about to go see a movie and we would just chill next week.

I didn't chase her at all. Just left it at that, like it would be better if she stayed at home.

Question is: How bad did I screw up and what did she really want to do? I really don't know how to interpret this. It seemed like I damned if I did, damned if I didn't.

Who knows what she wanted to do beside be with you. If you want be alpha then be alpha all the time. Call her up and tell her to come over and chill at your place, tell her not to worry about how she looks just be comfortable, and tell her she cant stay all night cause you have things to do. When you get her there you can do whatever you want to with her. I imagine that if you had gotten her alone that you could have closed that night.

Common poolboy, you can do better than this, she definitely wanted to be alone with you...saying she wanted to hang out but not go out leaves it to one place only..your house! Girls just don't like making big decisions and just a few of them would actually say they want to be alone with you, she gave you the signs and wanted YOU to say it out loud.

I agree with everyone who has posted above me on this thread: she was interested in hanging out with you, and just you.
What tipped me off aside from the "not looking great" excuse was the fact that you threw out multiple options and she kept turning them down. Especially when she began asking questions about the gathering at your friend's place, and then used the answers as an excuse not to want to go. She was putting a great deal of effort to coax you to suggest hanging out alone together at one of your places so that it would be your "fault" and not hers for anything to happen that night.

Notice how there were a couple options she turned down, but it took her a looooong time to finally say screw it and not want to hang out with you anymore. She may have been trying to get you to chase her some by saying she wanted to stay home.

Ahhh damn. Well thanks guys. At least I know what she really wanted to do now. Just gotta get better at recognizing this stuff i guess. Just have to try again soon....
