I agree with don't overvalue them. At the same time, I've used negs to mild remarks with lackluster effect:

Examples:

A) Do you wear glasses a lot? [Response] Keep them. They make your eyes standout.

B) 1. Are you like Ms. Fashion? 2. You're wearing a sweater in here. lol What's up with that?

They'll talk for a minute. They might say thanks to the glasses compliment but it might as well be banter.

Now, I go neg when they're not responsive and I couldn't give a shi*.

a girl once that i was on a date with was telling me she needs a man that will do all these romantic things with her... she's like telling me her check list for a perfect man & all i said was " good luck finding him" ...she went silent & kinda mad...this made me more important in her eyes & when you do this girl starts to chase you & keeps more interest in you cuz u seem out of reach... & when i said this i kinda laughed & made it like a joke( make sure the tone is a fun one)

I must agree with the "Not being interested comment". I go out with a group of friends. One in particular, a close friend who I love dearly is a complete letch on the girls front. Everything's a target. He moves in, tells them how beautiful they are, buys them drinks and gets absolutely no-where with 99% of them. I stand at the bar, dont look at women, have a laugh with friends and bar staff and women come upto you and try crack on to you. Often they are the same women my mate just paid for drinks for and told them he loved them. Ignoring is a great neg.
