Do YOU think these techniques would work on gay men?

Hey all, quick info, I'm a 23 year old guy (who happens to be gay) and wanted to basically sum this down into 2 questions...

1) Do you know of any famous gay PUA's in the community that I could look into
and
2) Do you think many of the techniques to pick up straight women could also be used to pick up gay men?

ummm idk...maybe... i meean why not try... the basics behind picking up women is psychology. so i would imagine that they would work cause all we do is that we are different and fun. by doing that we are different than other guys and we stand out and become memorable and they tend to be attracted to us. i mean just try it. i didnt know gay guys needed help with picking people up. this is new to me. hahaha

lol, I know what you're saying.

Gay guys are more like straight guys when it comes to judging those they're interested in and that's the fact that they're more interested in physical appearance than they are about qualification.

I was just hoping that there'd be someone in the community that could shed more light on this and give more information on the psychology of it.

there probably is i just dont know of it

I dont mean to state the obvious but surely you are a guy? How would you pick up yourself? Surely a lot of this crap isnt needed just be confident and say hey ur hot wanna chat? I mean thats how id want a girl to open with me!

yeah i dont think it would be much different. just think about it. pick up with girls is a lot different. im sure you can research the internet and find one but i think there isnt much on gay pick up cause its not in so much demand. as you probably have seen your the only gay one on this site so far. most pick up is in demand for men to find women. but i mean you could put a field report and some of the best guys on here could help you. like bill tcomea pjarv or myself.

I imagine much of it would be very similar. Why not learn a few things go run it and let us know. I have heard of gay PUA but I don't know any myself. Try a google search.

I happen to have lived in Greenwich Village NYC (very high gay and lesbian population) my whole life. From what I've observed gay men are able to move in to Comfort and attraction very quickly with each other. Basically, introducing yourself followed by something like "so, tell me about yourself" is very common, and thus allows you to skip past a lot of the early small talk that us straight guys usually need to do.

Since gay guys are very similar to straight guys in that they care a ton about physical attraction, have you spent much time working on your fashion and physique?

well, to all people of any sort of sexual orientation, I have to recommend the book "Brain sex" as a primer to sexual development/psycology... they touch heavily on homosexuality i nthe book as well as male and female developement patters/ drives.

Further, There's a qualifier for this question, are you looking for hookups, or relationships?

If it's hookups, from what I understand, gay MALES anyways have it easy, appearence, and "Hi, i'm interested" or the such, small talk, because men have soaring levels of tetosterone (horny juice) and (this is all hearsay on my part...) are fairly promiscuous and quick-to-bed if it's a hookup you're after.

As far as relationships, you may want to approach it more from the PUA(Mystery) perspective which is fmac, Find, Meet, Attract, Close. Meaning you'll want to add value to yourself, lower their defenses, show confidence and worthiness, and be Alpha if you want to hold the 'reins'. If you're a *chick-dude, bottom, la fem, whatever they considere themselves, you'll want to qualify, play the role, submit, etc etc....

I think most of the PUA stuff would work much the same, but if it's just hookups you're after, if you're halfway decent looking/clean and halfway not a social retard, you should be F-closing everyday, without having to go through the effort of routine/scripts. ("Should" from an abuility standpoint, not necessarily my advice.. and again... everything I know about gays is hearsay or second hand... no, really..)

There are lots of gay guys willing to give themselves up for sex, but I'd like to draw in the 10's who are usually being chased by 10's
