Spending on girls

I agree, I don't buy dinner for a girl until I'm screwing her. If I invite them out to a bar for a couple of drinks, I may buy the first two. With the first drink I casually order both drinks (after asking her what she wants). After the first one, I'll say something like "Tell you what, I'll get this round," which implies that we're taking turns.

Usually after the second I laugh it off with something like "Alright I'm cutting you off after this one - I don't want you thinking I'm trying to get you drunk."

Sporty, that's a cool line, very diplomatic if I must say. Stupid of me to have never thought of it. haha.

Alright, so most of the time I prefer not to pay. For one, I don't think the girl deserves it and I'm a broke college student.

Sometimes if we mutually agree to go eat somewhere and the check comes, the girl just sits there as if she expects to be paid for. What should I do in these situations? Once I just put my half on the table and looked at her puzzled look as she took out her pocketbook.

Don't get me wrong, I do pay for dinners and whatnot but sometimes I just downright don't want to pay for anything.

Maybe when you or the girl starts talking about going somewhere to eat, you can also immediately say something about going Dutch.

"mmm..i'm suddenly craving pizza"
"well, i wouldn't say no to a quattro formaggi"
"haha, let's go dutch and also get some chicken pesto"
