I've really been working on my HG game because it was my biggest sticking point. I've gotten where I'm number closing bartenders and waitresses pretty regularly - and I thought last night was going to be a pretty impressive one.
Was out with my buddy DJ, we were going to just chill at a bar and have a couple drinks but a lot of our usual spots were closed so we ended up going to a club early. First club was dead , so we had a few drinks ($1 drinks so why not) and I chatted up the bartender there for a while, sat at a table, texted her when she started looking at her phone "Stop staring at your phone to see if I'm gonna text." She looked back up and smiled. Not going to try to do anything more than that in the club, since her bf is one of the bouncers. It's not that I'm scared, I just like hanging out there and having worked club security when I was younger, I know that pissing off the bouncers can get you blacklisted.
We went to second club after our friend who was the DJ got us in free despite the concert going on there. We weren't really into the music or the crowd, so we hung out in the back room and played pool. DJ was trying to go get a pitcher and was being ignored by the
HB9 Bartender there that I had seen once before but had never talked to. He walked back to bitch to me about it, and I walked up to her while she was pouring a pitcher and said "Great, you're pouring my drink before I even asked for it." She laughed and poured me one ignoring the rest of the crowd. I asked if she was going to buy it for me, and she asked shouldn't I be buying her a drink. I told her I don't buy drinks for strangers, smiled, and went back to my pool table.
About 15 minutes later, when the crowd was back out on the dance floor in the other room, she walks over to me and starts up a conversation. Over the next hour, she was giving tons of IOI's (more than the usual bartender IOIs):
- holding my hand after we shook hands, rubbing the back of my hand with her thumb)
- hugging me when she walked by to go to the front bar
- grabbing my shirt as I walked by her and dancing with me
- running her hand across my stomach after she came over and shot some pool with us.
At the end of the night, I told her I was leaving and to come from behind the bar to tell me bye. She comes over, gives me a hug, thanks me for making her night fun. I tell her we should do it again, some time when she's not working. Then she's like "I'm always working - come see me Thursday night." I was like "Really? You're gonna be THAT girl?" She smiled and said "THAT girl?" then said "I'll see you next week"
Where'd I go wrong, or is this just one that I'm going to have to get to know a little more to build some
Comfort? Also, I am planning on going Thursday, but with a group of friends including a FB. Better idea to avoid her while I'm with the date, or flirt with her while with the FB (who won't really care). My concern is that the FB could
dlv me based on the fact that she's not as hot as the bartender, and she's considerably younger than me (bartender is 8 years younger, FB is 14 years younger).
If she is interested in you and sees you with another woman she will have two questions first: "Is she younger than me?" and "is she hotter than me?" If she can get herself past those two milestones, she will ask herself who that woman is in your eyes ie, girlfriend, f-buddy, just a friend, woman you just met.
If the woman you are with is younger and/or hotter, the woman you are after will have an emotional delima. That's good. If she was old and not hot, at all, the woman you want would not have any reason to want to impress you...you'll settle for less and she can't be around a guy like that.
