I like this girl, not her friend

I am attracted to a girl but friend (housemate) actually approached me and give me her number. Is it bad for me to ask the girl I'm attracted to out, knowing the friend approached me first? How to handle this situation?

-You can go out with the housemate and the target and bring a wing to back you up, like on a double date. Joke about both girls but show the housemate that the target makes you more superlyrical.

-You can do it the hard way, by become friends with the housemate to get closer step by step (i probably wouldnt do this myself because i get too selfconscious and nervous in such a situation, that is the arousing fuel)

-You can do it the harder way, fark the housemate hard and fark the target harder. Make them both know that you are a wild lion. They go out to hunt while you catch some sleep and give them an aftersupper fark for dessert.

Use the housemate as a means to increase value for yourself around the girl you want. Treat the housemate with the PUA motto, and create attraction but i would not go further.

If her friend asks her, the housemate will tell her and that can potentially ruin it for you, if you decided to sleep with her.

I would create attraction you can use cocky/funny, and maintain it at that level, then aim for the girl you want. The conversations they will have at that point will benefit you greatly.

i would start the FIRST text with something like "wow your love life must SUCK if you need your roomate to be givign your number out" with a smiley or something so she knows your kidding. then when she justifies herself to you (ioi) you can make the conversation playful from there. if you feel the time is right, throw in a "okay, i usually dont do charity but im gonna need to grab a drink tuesday....." again, make it PLAYFUL not asshole-y...

then when you are out with her, do your usual thing. dont HARP on her friend setting you up, act like old friends, and like she would have no reason not to LOVE being out with you...
