Your room? Redesign and what do you keep in yours

My idea is to have the most realaxing bed room possible with awsome things to show girls.

Color- What color should I paint walls and ceiling? I am thinkig sky blue walls with light green ceiling. Awsome drapes.

I have a super sick mattress thinking I need a fly looking bed and dressor.

-Wall fountain and table top fountain for the relaxing noise.
-TV with interesting DVDs? Which DVDs?
-Interesting books on a shelf (which ones?
-Posters? Wall decerations?
-Sound proof the walls? So she can scream as loud as she wants. Would also give a privacy effect.
-Strategic mirrors such as one above the bed?
-Maybe a smaller quality sound system such as a bose to play both mood and interesting music.

Pillows? What kind? How many?


Carpet?

Throw any ideas at me. I am open to anything.

What else would you add? What do you keep in your room? I hope for alot of feedback so we can all inprove or rooms.

Uh you may want to consult a decorator with all these things since you really have a lot you are setting up

I keep my room open and clutter free, lots of open floor space. No tv in my bedroom

Always a few candles on my nightstand, they are great for making love
Books are up to you, I've got things like "the art of happiness" by the Dali Lama and "the art of seduction" by green (book sux but it looks good). Whatever else that shows interesting things about you

Keep candles, also a nice box on your nightstand or in a drawer for your condoms, lube, a towel, and some hair binders for girls (they never have one when they need it)

I think neutral colors are good colors to play it safe with. Sky blue and green are pretty bold colors and some girls might not know what to think of it, and then you have to be really careful with how you decorate a room that color. Light brown or beige walls are relaxing to most. White walls are boring. Candles are always nice. Mirrors on the ceiling... hmmm... I'd say that might chase some girls away lol. Girls can never have enough pillows to get comfortable with, so pillows are always a plus. Blankets too. Make sure you have some really nice sheets for your bed. A nasty bed can turn a girl off in a second. I'd say keep your room as tidy as you can, no dirty pants and boxers lyin around haha. Make it look like you took some time preparing for her to come over. What girl doesn't love a nice flat screen tv off in the corner somewhere? And also don't be afraid to add in some personal touches so the room is more relaxing and it gives her a sense of who you are. I think the fountain is a cool idea too.

No idea about colours...
but dont go and buy books just because you think girls will pick them up and talk about them, just go and read some good literature and keep it around. Its all about discovery right?

I live with 6 guys including myself and im working on revamping my room, gonna mount a Tv on the wall, get some nice sheets for my queen sized bed and a bunch of pillows. Usually things girls comment on is my obscene amount of shoes, bottle of wine or amaretto on the desk which is usually what I like to sip on in the evening, my supplement shelf(usually illicits negativity for some reason), same with my bulk oatmeal, brown rice, brown pasta and cans of tuna, usually there like ewwwww u eat that?

I have a lot of clothes and girls seem to look threw my big closet. I have a pet rabbit that I bought with my ex, and that is CHILLIN, great way to escalate Kino if the girl is kinda scared, grab her hand and kinda force her to pet.

Got a nice sound system and a lot of cologne, few stuffed animals and sh1t like that. Books go into the closet once i finish reading them but right now im workin on I hope they serve beer in hell by max tucker, great read lol..


my downside is im messy as fark, I always have random ass sh1t everywhere and papers galore. never leave lingere or sh1t that a girl leaves at your place lying around, its bad news.

N girls seem to like my crappy little electric guitar, i used to play in highschool and they just insist that i play them a tune, which is ok, depends on the girl i guess.

as for mirrors and colours I have no clue, i think my room is pretty sick and girls seem to like touching all my random sh1t and asking questions, but Im sure it could be better, I could be neater and whatever but a good room is essential for takin a girl home, no doubt

My room is set up in a very simple manner but describes who I am. I didn't actually do this for women, it was just my own way making my room mine and comfortable to live in.

Grey walls, light shade - somewhat silver.

I got a queen sized bed with two night tables - one on each side. Both ebony wood to match the ebony on my bed.

I have candles on both night stands and a small alarmclock/speaker that integrates with my iphone. It's great cause it wakes me up and plays tunes (speakers are pretty good too - nothing insane but even the bass carries a decent vibe).

I have a huge desk in there where I do most of my work, you guessed it - ebony.

I have a shelf that is raised and mounted on the wall. It has 4 stands to keep my stuff on. Two of them are filled with books. Top shelf/stand is for books related to work, and second shelf/stand are my personal reads. To be honest all my new material is on my iPad so I haven't bought any new books.

Third shelf/stand has a small box (that has condoms, lube, etc) and is decorated by having antique items surrounding it. (an old ornament of a guitar coated in silver etc.)

Last shelf/stand houses my daily items. I keep a bowl to house my phone, keys, wallet etc on there and also have a few decorative ornaments surrounding that.

The desk is usually clean except for one side that has a bunch of work documents. The center has my laptop with a console that connects my laptop to a large screen I have mounted on the wall behind the desk. I barely use it with my computer, most of the times I use it to connect to my laptop for movies and such. The desk/TV are accross from the bed to make it easy to view from bed.

I have a closet on the side that is very simple (yes ebony), the closet has 2 mirrors that I use to view myself when getting ready.

My room has it's own bathroom entry, and in there are all my goodies such as cologne, shaver, etc.

I have a secret drawer under my bed where I keep magazines and old items that I haven't thrown away. Surprisingly, don't have any dirty mags. Most of them are car magazines. I left a few out and about in my room purposely (such as on my bed) so when I do bring ladies over they come over and see my bed with these mags and know that I'm a car guy. My guitar is in it's case against a wall next to my amp with my soundcard on top of my amp and the cables neatly rolled next to it. I will move it and connect it to my laptop when I need to use it (gets too messy with all the wires if I just leave it connected).

That pretty much sums up my room.

It says a lot about me, I'd say the only thing I usually have done for women is if I feel I'm bringing one home I leave a magazine or two on the bed and I set up my tv so I can make em watch tv while in bed. Oh and sometimes I'll leave my guitar out of the case leaning on the amp if I feel the need to do something other than the magazine idea.

Apart from that, my room is my own and I love it!

Hi, I'm new, but I thought I'd give some advice for this. I'm no expert by any means, but from years of experimenting and seeing other people's pads, I think I have some good ideas as to what impresses some girls.

Blue is very boyish. Especially sky blue. I'd recommend you'd try and stick to a red, white and black theme. Red especially since it's a very sexy, erotic colour. Red is also the colour that has been scientifically shown to enhance and stimulate sexual arousal. Look up red's effects on the human brain. For the walls, you could simply stick to white... if you feel the need to paint the walls, go for a maroon colour. It's sophisticated and classy.... not to mention it will match well with red and dark coloured furniture.


No offense, but I would avoid that. This is hard to pull off and it comes off tacky most of the time. Relaxing noises should come from your stereo.

This depends, it usually won't make or break the room anyway... so it doesn't really matter. Just stock a few of the classic movies like "The Godfather", maybe some educational movies stuff like "Planet Earth". Books are pretty much the same. It should be a reflection of you or your taste... maybe one or two odd ball books for conversation.

Again, boyish... I would avoid posters. Go for some art... or at least frame the posters. If you choose art, it should be a reflection of the theme of the room... doesn't have to be pricey art.

I find this to be expensive... if you can find this cheap or do it yourself then I guess... but it's probably unnecessary and excessive.

Best idea you have. One directly in front of the bed, if it works, is great too.

Lots of pillows. If you go for a red, white, black theme, the pillows should be the same. A few red throw pillows, a few black. I would say about 5-8 throw pillows on the bed alone. Red sheets, red comforter, also to keep with the theme.

I recommend having a hardwood floor with a lot of nice rugs... red rugs. Carpets get dirty, retain odours, etc. Rugs are lower maintenance and allow more variety.

I also recommend a lot of mood lighting. You can find these cheap at places like Ikea. Ideally, some nice red mood lights work well. Especially lights that you can dim.

Some plants too. Even if it's just a few. It doesn't need to be a jungle in there, but a few nice plants really change the atmosphere of a room.

A small liquor cabinet/shelf wouldn't hurt... not too much or you'll look like an alcoholic. Maybe a small stash with an ice bucket when needed.

Try to hide any loose wires/cables strewn around. Keep the room tidy/clean. Don't put video games in the room either.

Obviously candles and incense as others have mentioned go a long way.
