Best way to find out girl's name

Hey guys,

So I am also just getting into being a PUA. I've had plenty of experience with girls but usually ones i know fairly well. The reason I want to start is to gain more all around confidence and also no fear which are my two biggest weaknesses when it comes to the game. I have done much better with opening and being more outgoing however.

Anyways, my question for all of you is: what is the best way to get a girl's name after you have already opened up a set?
I know its important not to seek validation by giving her my name first; however, where I am confused is whether or not it's a smart idea to just plain ask after talking briefly. Or is it better to just not worry about it and wait till it comes up or not get it at all(unless receiving a number then obviously you would have to ask). Appreciate any input or strategies anybody has on the subject.

Oh and in case it helps anyone: if you're ever getting a number and you don't remember her name (I am terrible with remembering names), one thing you can do is ask her to spell her name for you so you "don't get it wrong". This works even with an obvious or simple name like Jane because if it is obvious, it will come across as somewhat humorous.

I don't claim to know much, but what I do know is that its never a bad thing just to introduce yourself when the time's right. A girl introducing herself is a solid ioi that will be lost if you go right out and introduce yourself, but if she hasn't introduced herself to you yet, she probably won't.

You could also have fun with it, say "you look like a sarah", then she'll say "It's actually Jasmin", then you go "Jasmin, that was my second guess". It makes you look confident and its less awkward then saying "whats your name".

If your game is tight enough she'll ask for your name, i guarantee. Try to set a challenge, improve your game so that she'll ask for your name and number

Matt I like your suggestion with the name thing. When I said the part about not introducing oneself first, I meant it at the beginning instead of just not doing it. So we are on the same page. But as far as saying "you look like a..." that's perfect. It's universal to almost any type of girl/situation. Plus if you happen to guess right it might even show a little higher value because she would think you have a strong ability to read people.

The whole "you look like a..." can also work into the neg by giving them a rather unattractive name like Eunice or Ethyl.

Yes you're right! I forgot about that aspect completely. It is always so nice when they introduce themselves. I started up a set with this HB8 on the campus shuttle and things went well we even happened to live in the same apartment complex. I never really thought about getting her name or introducing herself. She introduced herself (obvious ioi). I love when the game is just simple like that

If you do ask her for her name, just make sure you don't sweat her off by saying: " Your name is Anna, that's a nice name. Just don't show her you are interested by liking her name. The more you keep her wandering the more she will be interested.

You can talk to someone the whole time, sleep with them and still not know their name. Don't think too much into this. Asking a person their name is so simple and people don't really pay much attention to it as far as validation goes. You can even give her a nickname. If you know a second language you can even give her a nickname in another language...it seems exotic and makes you more interesting. Don't put too much thought into it though...just ask her for her name

Remembering peoples' names is something to improve then isn't it. What I do when I hear someone's name for the first time is think of a celebrity with the same name and then picture the two people together
