There are probably 200 threads on openers on this site already. dig around a bit and you will find some canned material. However i could encourage you to not used canned material but try to go for a more natural, direct, or situational Opener.

natural, direct, or situational Opener? What i've been trying is commenting one of their pictures and saying something like "Cutie ! HMU?" its worked almost everytime and i've gotten the "thanks for the comment cutie " reply. Would that be something canned? i fel like you could only use natural/direct/situational openers in person.

I am not into canned openers. It makes me feel incompetent. like a robot that been programmed. What I do in a social network site, I try to study first my target. Searching her interest and some stuffs. I also study the facial expression of her profile photo. From there I start to make a connection from her. An Opener really depends on your style.

Have a look into the facebook method. I have actually used this guys technique and was suprised at the responses I got from total strangers
