Need help with a girl I like

Looking for advice

Meeting a girl I went to uni with in a few weeks. Liked her for ages, and last time we met, I got the impression she liked me too.

Shortly after, her mother took ill, so didn't see her, but kept in contact. Her mother has since passed.

I'm meeting her for a catch up before xmas, and while i don't want to push anything straight after her mom died, I'd like to ensure I'd get another chance.

Any advice. Chances are the meeting will be a drink or 2, possibly lunch.

I would wait until she seems her normal self again.

Do NOT mention her mother unless she brings it up herself, in which you can express your condolences. That is all I have to say. As compassionate as it might be.. It's her right to talk about her mother's death. Woman are emotional, and many would not feel comfortable if someone brought it up, or treated them any different than normal even though this death may have been recent..
