Quiet Girl = Hard Read

so ive been running into this quiet, keep-to-herself girl that lives in my dorm who i believe has a thing for me--but then she gives me this one sign that throws me off!

her ioi's: smiling when she sees me, letting me into her intimate space, asking me questions regarding her self esteem( e.g. "should i be a model?"), dancing in front of me, showing me her sketchbook

the throw off: whenever we hug, she is quick to pat me on the back, signaling "get off me, bro," imo

am i reading into the throw off too much? or is it just a part of her behavior?
