A clear mind is what makes men succeed with women. If you're not thinking about if she likes you or what should you say you're gonna notice that you'll get good results. Here's a few key things to keep in mind.

1. Ask questions to get her talking.
2. Talk to her from a dominant standpoint...you control the encounter.
3. A well timed joke shows that you're witty, but it's not the end of the world if your timing is off. Let the opportunity present itself
4. Stories are good but you don't want to be just a story teller. If something cool happens to you then you can share it with her. If not, then something cool will happen and you can share it then.
5. Talk to a lot of hot women so you can get more comfortable talking to them. If you get nervous, that feeling will pass the more you talk to them.

Last but not least, the less you care the more you succeed. Women love when men have an opinion, a point of view and have a backbone...even if you disagree with her. Bingo. And notice how your 5th point ties into the first sentence of the passage I quoted. When you talk to more girls, you care less because you have more options, or at least recognize that there are tons of girls out there and you should never be nervous about any one.

Also agree with having an opinion and not always agreeing with hers: have some balls and defend yourself (but not in an annoying or argumentative way). I use opinion openers at bars all the time and they work great; girls love to have a fun conversation when they are out at night.
