use something that you both share or make a witty remark about something in her profile. i often post witty comments on friends threads and engage in conversation with the repliers. don't forget that the females must first show you their interest...

intrest in what? is it intrest on the rapport that im trying to build?

from a socio-biological point of view regarding choosing the mate, the female is the one that chooses the male. so, you have to catch her interest somehow, but not appearing like you just wanna bang anyone

later edit: you'd be surprised how many facebook messages or friend requests a nice girl gets. so naturaly her shields are pretty tough to go through with the usual Opener-crap

for example: i was commenting on a friend's pic and one of her friends gave me an answer. we continued replying to one another for like 2-3 times and then i messaged her "hey, didnt know that "common friend" had such witty friends" and we continued from there... that's where the hard thing begins. hope i helped

id be like, Nice new profile pic. and if she responds like stalker or something be like i bet you're looking at my profile right now. or something along those lines, or like if she says thanks just be like stop stalking my profile now, with a smiley or something so she knows your not serious.

Did you add her, or did she add you? If she added you, you have a perfect excuse to just IM her saying "hey do I know you?" If not, you can pretend that you've met before and simply write "Hey, how've you been?" She'll be confused wondering if she's ever met you before, even though she hasn't and either play along, or ask and you can take it from there. Best of luck.
